Dark before six o'clock is my guess judging by our sunset DR GINNY.

It's almost dark now, DR JRand, at 5:15!

See you and Richard in a couple of hours, DR Ginny!  I guess we could send a PM or Facebook message if we don't see each other ?

We're going a little early to get a $5 drink and listen to the swing music.  Where are you sitting for the show?

Back from a long walk.  I took the subway to Prince Street to go to the Taschen (sp?) Book store to see their new book of photos of Barbra S.  You know - the one that costs $750.  It is spectacular but $750?  I then took a leisurely walk down Broadway (to 47th Street) with a detour to Strand Books--- what a place !  It was a nice walk on the brisk weather.

My route took me through some of the slowest traffic in the NJ/NY area ever, but the sights were so beautiful, with the late afternoon sun catching the remaining foliage around I-78 in NJ and all along the Henry Hudson and Saw Mill Parkways just right, that I was grateful for the slow pace.

Later, it got really aggravating with slowdowns everywhere for all the usual sorts of insane reasons, but I made it back, just about exactly 24 hours later than my originally planned arrival.  Oy!

DR JENNIFER - IMDB has a parent's advisory page for most movies.  Here is the one for MALEFICENT.

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1587310/parentalguide

Thanks. I watched it today with my 9 year old niece.  I actually did not really like the movie.  There is nothing that a kid her age would not be able to watch. The movie just wasn't that interesting.  She thought it was so-so. I thought it was sort of boring.

DR Jennifer, thanks for the movie report.  I had no interest in seeing it and will stick with my first impression.

"The Nance," however, had an eight-or-so-minute interview with the Jack O'Brien (the director), Douglas Carter Beane (the author), and Nathan Lane (the star).  PBS's website had the full-length 48-minute interview.  I was able to capture the 48-minute version and Larry said that he should be able to add that to the Blu-ray. :)

You could make a killing on this Blu-ray.

And on that note (B-flat), I'm off to my parents' house to help move a 119 pound TV from their living room to my dad's library. :P Fortunately, I won't be the only one moving the 119 pound TV.

Until later!

Whew!  Back from the Broadway Cabaret to benefit Project Home.

All went relatively smoothly, although with the dim lighting I had to invent some rather interesting lyric alterations on one or two occasions.

I, too, am looking forward to bk's reports on theatre, dining, and rehearsals in New York City. The city that never sleeps.

Listening on the radio to Prokofiev's Fifth Symphony, live from Orchestra Hall.

What glorious music!

I was supposed to be there, but the tickets were purchased before the benefit was scheduled.
