Glad that all our various DR travelers are home safe and sound.

And for those who were concerned, i made it back to 43rd Street.

In the first show last night, as I mentioned in the notes, many in the audience were of an age and clearly did not have a clew as to what we were about, although in the end I think they had a good time.  But there was some kind of negative energy coming from somewhere in the room - everyone in the cast felt it, and that's why a couple of them went up on lyrics.  That kind of thing is palpable.  I felt it the instant I said my first line.

At one point I got irritated by it, but it resulted in the biggest laugh of that show - and it was completely spontaneous.  After Sarah Uriarte Berry sang her song from Light in the Piazza, a completely tuneless thing that makes no musical sense to me on any level with no melody anywhere.  She got a nice hand and then I got up and said, "That song would be great for Name That Tune.  I can name that tune in 903 notes."  Suddenly that quiet crowd was laughing big.  I used the same joke in the second show, where it also got a nice laugh.  I was very loose in the second show and that audience was loud and wonderful.

i Was Very Loose In The Second Show is NOT the name of next anything, but I sure would to read the book!

Early day at work. I'd rather be home and curled up in the arms of Morpheus.

Give us until Thursday, DR Singdaw - we still have a couple more days here in New York!

Well, it's time for me to leave work and go home, so I'm going to leave work and go home.

Be back later. :)

We just had a delightful dinner with our friend Doug at Il Violino, an Italian restaurant right around the corner from our apartment.

Hope you feel better DR Cillaliz!~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Thanks.  I've been reading different things on the web.  I'm beginning to wonder if I'm having gall bladder issues.  The sharp pain was on my right side sort of at the bottom of my rib cage.

I hope not.  Feel better vibes!

Travel vibes for BK, who I hope is fast asleep somewhere over the Midwest about now.

Indeed!  And VIBES for a great rest-of-the-flight!

(How does anyone get one hour of sleep in the middle of the night -- and not only survive it, but still function and be coherent?)

(My hat is off.  And I can say that in all honesty, because I wore a hat last night.)

Sorry, I'm still finishing the hat.

DR VIXMOM's photos were wonderful.  DR FJL - I thought that was you hiding behind DR KEVINH.

Everyone looked so nice.

The photo of DR VIXMOM and DR ELMORE was especially nice!!!

I thought that was Elmore and Marni Nixon.

And speaking of Liz Larsen, this had to be the moment of the piano break in "Ragtime Romeo".
Pianist Chris Denny excelled.
