FEELING MY OATS

Well, you've read the notes, the notes felt their oats, and now it is time for you to post until the cows come home - they're currently watching that sci-fi classic The Day the Notes Felt Their Oats.

Good morning, all!  In another hour I will head to the bus and make my trip to Radio City and my barber. I'll get to look at the Rockefeller Plaza tree and that I look forward to. Once I'm home, I've got plenty of work here.

DR TCB, I loved the BABES IN ARMS photo.

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas: the flower market on the corner has cleaned out their potted plants to make room for all the trees that will arrive next week. From Thanksgiving to Dec, 26 or so, the corner will smell like pine and a trip to the market will be a jaunt through a maze of trees, garlands, and wreathes.

TOD:

I liked THE HIGH AND THE MIGHTY, as well as the first AIRPORT movie.

There were also a couple of thrillers I thought were pretty good, but I can't recall the titles.  One starred Jodie Foster and the other Rachel McAdams.

Relieved to hear DR Kate is doing OK.  The pictures of the area looked scary.

Thursday morning greetings!  Thank you to everybody who has posted travel vibes for us for today.  I really don't want to leave, but I am looking forward to my own shower and having a bedside reading lamp again.  We'll be out of the apartment by about 11 for our flight from LGA at 2.

The Met was quite an experience.  They have the longest intermissions ever.  Act 2 of AIDA is the most exciting, and the rest was fine.  The story really doesn't end well for anybody.

Mike Nichols was actually on my mind this week -- due to two things I'd been watching which weren't his, but in which there were direct associations.

RIP, sir.

But then again they have said that Macaulay Culkin and Judd Nelson have also died in the past weeks. You never know what is true and what is a hoax.

I like that picture DR TCB.....it has that 70's red tint that so many photos from that era have.  Isn't it nice to be reminded that we lived through an era?

Travel vibes for DR GINNY and DH RICHARD.

Dr CHEW vibes for MR BK.

Today I'm doing a bit of shopping, the largest part of it admittedly being for mine own selfish self, the picking up of some Criterions at Barnes and Noble -- the Jacques Tati box and a few other things.
