Great dinner of Thanksgiving leftovers with my sister and her husband and daughter.  I'm waiting to watch Kristen Chenoweth on PBS.

I totally forgot that this was on tonight!  I just set my DVR to record it.  I will have to leave soon to take a shower, go to the store to get some cat food (I have NO cans at all!), and then go to rehearsal tonight.  I thought that my cousin and his wife were leaving tomorrow morning, but they left this morning, so I don't have to miss rehearsal. :)

Has anybody  here that  did the Kickstarter for Herringbone hear when our cds will be shipped?

Not me...I just assume that I'll get it when I get it.

And now, I must go.  I don't want to go to the store, but I didn't prepare and get cat food earlier.  My bad.

Anyway, until later!

Sorry for my absence yesterday. A last-minute change in the DH's family holiday plans meant a long and unexpected detour to the southern part of the state right after work on Wednesday. The weather wan't great, so the trip was fraught, and from there it was pretty much non-stop until dinner concluded last night and we were finally home. All in all it was really lovely; just not the calm respite I had been expecting. We were 16 for dinner (which I did not have to prepare), including a gaggle of young children, which was fun.
Wow, the weather wasn't good for driving. glad you made it ok

Great photo, DR Ginny.

I'm curious about the framed blue & green-ish piece on the wall.  Is it by any chance a topo map?

So, I went to work at 9:30 this morning.  I started working on the one project I HAD to get in the mail today.  I didn't stop to eat, drink or even go to the bathroom.  140 pages of exhibits and an 8 page brief later I made it to the post office at 4:45 PM.  Whew!   I had to go back and break the exhibits up into smaller groups to serve them on the other side via email, but I made it home before 6:00.  I never would have gotten it done on a regular day with people coming in and the phone ringing.

And with all that, Cilla, you're only 19 away from 42,000.

I haven't checked to see when my Herringbone is coming from Amazon.  I actually forgot about it.  Would have been a nice surprise, lol.  Still will be nice, just not a surprise

I've been playing with my new computer.  I deleted a few things, did a tune up with AVG then deleted the tune up program, as it slows things down.  It's actually much better now

I don't use my Surface 2 as much as I thought I would, but I am glad it has a USB port. Makes it really easy to transfer things

Yes, DR ChasSmith, it's the western half of Mt. Desert Island, Maine, and the eastern half is behind Betty.  My Dad bought them when we camped there as a family in 1963 and Richard and I had them framed after spending the first 2 Summer vacations of our marriage there (not camping).

Nice!  I have several -- not nicely framed like that, but a few of them should be.

I have moved two times since I donated to the Herringbone project, and there is no way that I can discern to report that through Kickstarter.

So I suppose I will just have to buy it again through Amazon.        :P

DR vixmom and I are on the outs, apparently, as I did not get a party invitation either.        :)

Vixdad and I went out and mailed three packages of gifts to our grandnephews and grandniece in Canada, then went to the appliance store to find some lid bumpers for my Mom's  washer

We were pleasantly surprised to find no crowds at either store

I have to say I don't love reading about the Herringbone Kickstarter problems. It sounds like the Herringbone Kickstarter was not handled at all well by the person who started it - perhaps he deserves a kick.  If you're going to do it and ask for money, then the perks all need to happen as they should and updates should also happen regularly because that's the deal.

I can assure everyone, just as they know from our Nudie Kickstarter, that all Indiegogo perks will happen as they should, in a timely manner and updates will happen regularly.  This is not a slight to FJL or Skip, just to the man who did the Kickstarter campaign.

The we went to Costco wherein our optometrist is located. Once again we were greeted with a half empty parking lot  and no crowds.  So the Vixfamily three have had a out annual eye exams and chosen new glasses.  We paid about the same for all three sets of spectacles as I paid for my last set purchased at LensCrafters several years ago
