Sorry I was interrupted by the news that my pastor's wife gave birth to their third chil and first son a couple if hours ago and had to go look at pictures and send messages.  I am so happy for them they are the loveliest couple you could hope to meet

I'd love to stay and chat, but I'm really tired and have a lot to do tomorrow.  I'm getting ready for a jury trial on Tuesday and I have a bunch of immigration applications and supporting documents that all have to be completed and sent in this week.  Seriously, it's been a lot of work and it's the first time I've had it like this since I've been on my own, but it's good.  I've been really productive because I have to be. It's a lot less stressful that it was with an assistant.  Just more tiring

JohnG, I have developed this way of writing over a long period of time.  With the first three books, I was happy if I wrote three pages a day - anything over that was amazing to me.  I wrote more on Writer's Block and Rewind - maybe five to six pages a day and that was thrilling.  The short stories were all written quickly but over a period of five months.  But with Adriana I began to do six to eight a day, and I liked that pace.  I could never get over eight, and sometimes I did less than six.  And beginning with that book I began writing seven days a week, something I'd never done before.  The memoirs are what really changed everything - I was writing eight to ten a day, sometimes more because I was in a frenzy, worried I'd begin forgetting things.  Red Gold was kind of at the Adriana pace, maybe a tiny bit less because I kept having to stop and research things.  With this Adriana I just got off to a lightning speed start and was just loving that pace, as daunting as it gets - but this particular story is a bit different so I'm kind of wanting to see how it turns out :)
