Mega Vibes please.  My friend put her Bernese Mountain Dog puppy on a none-stop flight to another friend in Ontario, Canada.  He was stolen from the Winnipeg airport before my friend could pick him up.

I returned to update this story. He is safe.  You can finish reading the saga and you continue reading the posts.

Thank you.  This is so shocking.  Bill went to pick up his dog and was told a woman signed for the puppy, no ID either.  I have never met a woman named Bill.

Who would you have cast if you were in charge?

I know you didn't ask me, DR Laura, but I would start with Carol Channing as Peter.

Surely they have enough security cameras around an airport that they could produce a photo of this rogue woman dogsnatcher?

My friend Bill's Bernese Mountain Dog recently passed away.   My friend Jennifer's dog was pregnant and she offered our friend Bill a puppy.  A great match of a good breeder with a good owner.  They are both devastated.

Bill actually hasn't said anything as he is at the airport trying to find his puppy.  I just know he is devastated.

We are hoping.  Even if they see her on camera it doesn't mean they will get the pup back.

Exactly.  I wonder if the person who gave the dog away without proper id accepted a bribe or is in on the theft.

WestJet is confident that Levon was sent to Calgary.  The breeder has a Berner person at the Calgary airport at this moment waiting to take him home for the night. Cross your fingers he's in Calgary.

I am extremely upset about Levon, not only for my friends but I have been looking at photos & videos, and reading puppy stories since he was born.

I'm tracking a flight which will soon arrive in Calgary and praying he is found on it.  His original flight continued on to Calgary & if that if he was on that flight I doubt he will ever be found.

Thanks everyone.  He is safe in Calgary.  I will get the rest of the story once I have it.  I hope his flight home tomorrow will be in first class.

The breeder called a Bernese Mt Dog friend in Calgary who has another Berner (nick name) friend that works at the airport.  This second friend rushed over to the airport and is thrilled to have a puppy for the night.  It is good that poor Levon will be with another Berner tonight.  I expect he is currently receiving tons of affection.

Sorry Jennifer I missed this.  I don't know the entire story but I'm guessing it was someone who worked for the airline and loaded him on the plane to Calgary.  Poor boy.  It was supposed to be one fairly short non-stop flight.  Plus they had paid for 1st class baggage.  I had never heard of this.  It meant that he was put in a different part of the plane where a flight attendant could check on him and give him treats.

I bet the breeder will never let a puppy travel unattended again.  Many do & Levon is an unusually large pup and wouldn't have fit under the seat.

After Craig moved out and we were doing our landscaping this breeder asked if we wanted a puppy from another good breeder.  Her word would have gotten us the pup & he was cute.  They would have flown the puppy to us since there was no way we could leave the project here to get him.  We passed.
