DR Elmore, is that CD your favorite of the available recordings?  I'll order one.

Yes.

Since they usually rehearse these live musicals for TV for eight weeks, one wonders what Miss Hudgens is doing because she's just starting previews in Washington for Gigi.  This Grease live, will undoubtedly follow the film rather than the original stage play, and it will be a complete and utter bore.

I futzed and finessed and wrote a couple of new paragraphs, then went to have lunch.  As you all know, I am a regular at Jerry's Deli - and I have been a regular for years.  I have gone there on Saturdays hundreds of times.  I know the deal and the deal is they're simply not very busy.  I walked in at twelve-thirty and was greeted with about twenty people waiting to be seated.  WAITING.  I turned right around and left.

I ended up at Du-Par's and had a vomititious eggs benedict  and a short stack.  I keep hoping the pancakes will go back to their original glory, but the glory days are done and I shall never be returning to Du-Par's.  I'd rather do the longer drive to the House of Pies, where they have great eggs benedict and great pancakes.  So, Farewell Du-Par's.

Looks like GREASE LIVE will be in January 2016, though, so schedules will be OK with GIGI

.
Does Prosecco taste as good as champagne?  I like the idea of less alcohol, then I could drink more.

Prosecco has a few different flavors, but all are sparkling, like Champagne. They're also affordable, with some available for under $10 a bottle. Look at the labeling. Some are sweet (extra dry), some slightly sweet (dry) or dry (brut). Some are also softer and more delicate than others. I love them. You can also make a nice cocktail with them, an Aperol spritzer, with Aperol, which is like Campari, mixed with a sweeter prosecco.

Thanks for the info.  I prefer my champagne plain, if it is good champagne so I will try that first, if I see it.

I never really cared for champagne until we went to Paris, and then I practically guzzled it every night.  Not only was in incredibly good I couldn't believe how inexpensive it was.  In spite of drinking too much on a few occasions I never felt drunk or had a hangover.

It's directed by the world's worst director after Rob Ashford, so it may not get to Broadway and run.  she may be looking for other work on December.

Was just struggling with the opening of the chapter I'm working on.  I just kept not liking the way I was writing it at all.  So I'd get to a new line and it was like I couldn't come up with anything - you know, I could write something but nothing felt right to me.  So, I went back, revised the end of the previous chapter and ended it a paragraph earlier, began the new chapter with the previous chapter's end paragraph that I'd just removed and suddenly I had some life going on.  Then I rewrote everything and it's all working much better now.  I've only done two pages, but at least I got them to where I'm okay with them, and now I'll mush on.

If I wasn't reading I was running, yes running for the pure pleasure of it, or playing sports.

In my free time I played with the neighbor's cats.  Often I combined cat time with reading while sitting on my front lawn.  I also had a cat named Sir Lancelot.  I would take him to Rancho Park, down the street from my house, and he would play next to me while I read.

I'm not sure there are many things better in life than curled up with a good book and a purring cat.

Thank you for the bitters info DR JOHN G.  Most informative.

There was a whole book on bitters for sale at the cocktail conference today, not coincidentally titled Bitters. I'm going to look for a used copy.

I guess I missed the 2016 part about Grease. Sorry.

Still, if it's a whole year away, why are they talking about it now? It also seems as if The Wiz is the next NBC presentation, or at least NBC acquired the rights to do it. For December. Also, essentially a year away.

The Shriracha Mac: A flatbread pizza topped with mac and cheese with sriracha sauce and bacon on it.

My kind of low-carb treat.  8)

Too bad about Du-Par's.  I loved the pancakes at the Farmers Market one a couple of years ago.

Other than that, I hadn't eaten at one in years.
