Almost time to close the suitcase, make a final room check, and head downstairs - bye for now!

I'm up - had a fairly good night's sleep, despite some restlessness trying to fall asleep.  I probably got seven hours all told.  Now I shall shower and then be on my way to our theater for our rehearsal.

Tuesday morning greetings!  My flight appears to be on schedule, so I'm proceeding with my plan for today.  After a shower and breakfast I'll take my ALA swag bag down to the FedEx office in the lobby and ship it home - too many books for me to carry!  My shuttle is picking me up just before noon and my flight is just before 3.  Assuming all goes well, I'll have dinner with Richard tonight!

We are having work done here that requires Keith to disconnect his computer, which means no wifi for me.

Have a nice day, not sure when I will return this afternoon.

DR George are cats allowed outside where you live?  Here they are not supposed to roam outside, but it is not unforced.  It is so freezing cold out right now I can't imagine it would be pleasant to be an outdoor cat. :(

I've never heard of restrictions on allowing cats outside.  Henry is an indoor/outdoor cat.  When he is out, he doesn't roam too far away from their house.  He's been very good about that...he has, and stays in, his territory.  And my parents make sure that he's inside before dark, so it really hasn't been a problem.

Good morning afternoon, all.

This, believe it or not, is my first chance to sit down and do something since getting up at seven in the morning.  I've been fighting snow blowers and their parts and gas cans and salt and sand and shovels -- AND running errands in support of all this -- and it's just been ridiculous.  I still have a little more to do in a while.

One nice surprise was finding a few pallets of rock salt and other ice melts at both Home Depot and Lowe's, which I wasn't even there to look for, but I brought home seven bags (350 lbs.) of the stuff.

I guess when that's the high point of your day, you know it's one of those winters.

Congrats to BK on what sounds like an astoundingly great show!

If John Boswell is the one I'm thinking of (was it him playing "Finishing the Hat" a few months back?), then for my taste he's a model of absolute calm, no-nonsense competence.

This is a question for DR CILLA LIZ or any other HHW legal eagle.....if you are completely uninterested in the Jodi Arias case....just skip the rest of this post and ignore it.

The Defense Team has added her to an Omnibus Hearing to be held in March.  This hearing had about a half dozen cases attached to it.  These are cases in which the trial has not started yet.  The hearing is to preclude the Death Penalty in any of the trials.

I guess the thinking is that if the judge rules that the DP cannot be asked for in these cases, then JA will also no longer face the DP.

If however, the sentencing retrial is completed before the Omnibus hearing, and she is given the DP, she no longer qualifies to be part of the hearing.....I guess.  I don't understand how the case of a defendant convicted of first degree murder already could be placed with defendants who haven't even been tried yet.

And the DT is doing everything to delay and prolong the trial.....I guess to make it to the hearing date.

Thanks, DR George!  I'm all settled at my gate for my ON SCHEDULE flight to Dayton!  I think we'll board in about half an hour.

Maybe the TOD made everyone get out their ALW cd's, and they can't make up their minds....

I'm working on it, but I'm here at work so I can't do nothing but search for ALW songs. ::)
