We're getting the trial scheduled in the case that went haywire.  Probably for April but possibly in March, so I may be doing some intense prep work very soon.   At least the trial will be over before the new immigration stuff kicks in.

When does that kick in?

The new deferred action for parents of usc or lpr kids starts sometime in May.   The regs aren't out yet, but most people probably won't qualify.  I don't think it will be a big deal for immigration lawyers the way some people do.  But, I will have a lot of people coming in to see if they qualify

Can you charge each of them a consultation fee?

Does that mean that the next two weeks you won't have to see clients and go to court?
Oh, I have a number of court dates set, I don't really have control over those.  I also schedule current clients, just not new consults.

Are you still satisfied not having someone working for you?

Yes, I just feel disorganize sometimes.    I was thinking about it today when I had a big stack of messages from  being out sick and what I realized is I'd have the same stack of messages, I just would have paid someone to take them

Could you transfer all the calls over to your home phone?

People keep telling me I work all the time.  I guess my response is ...  so....

Funny.  People tell me that I don't work at all.

and your answer should be the same as mine  :)

Oh, it is!

No way, that would drive me crazy.  I let them go to voicemail.   If someone doesn't want to leave a message on voicemail they can go to someone else.  I let them go to voicemail if I'm with a client or focusing on something too. My clients know that.

I'm very happy with the way my business is going.  There are always times that are very busy and times that let up a little, I guess I haven't had much of the letting up, but the truth is I love to work. When I have a lot of down time, I tend to get depressed.  So, it's crazy and stressful and I love it.

And now I need to get to sleep.  Last night I couldn't sleep so I watched interview tapes for the trial I have coming up.  That really didn't help me calm down and rest, lol

Well, I am very proud of the way you handle your business.

Is anyone planning on watching that new show, THE SLAP.

I'm not...I mean, the premise seems like it's supposed to be a limited with a specific ending mini-series.  Is that their plan?  That would be better, but it still doesn't interest me.

I have a doctor's appointment to hopefully complete the paperwork for my electric scooter.

Then it has to go to Medicare for approval.  Which could take weeks.

And there are no guarantees that it will be approved.

Well, I must go to bed now.  I want to get to work early so that I can leave early because I'm ushering for a local production of "The 39 Steps" tomorrow night and it's supposed to be a very good production.  It's the comedic version that only has four actors playing all the roles.  Everyone that I know who's seen it has pretty much loved it.
