And I am home from City Center, Joshie, who was not in a good mood today, and lunch with Rob Berman at the Brooklyn Diner.  I have to go to the bank, and take a nap.

Thursday morning greetings!  Remember the lovely afternoon and evening Richard and I had planned for yesterday?  Well, I dropped him at his meeting and proceeded to the mall where I got only as far as the restroom when my phone rang.  It was Mom's nurse telling me they'd just called 911 and Mom would be going to the hospital.  Her symptoms sounded to me like a possible heart attack.  I retrieved Richard and we got to the ER to find Mom chatting up the nurses.  Heart attack had been ruled out, but they wanted to do a lot more tests and administer some meds that required a few hours of observation.  She was finally released about 8pm and Paramedic Rob and I got her settled back in her room.

No new power chord for my iPad, no Montgomery Inn dinner, no St. Olaf Choir at St. Peter in Chains Cathedral - but we're not telling Mom about any of that...

I am so sorry Ginny, about the cancelled plans, but I'm glad that your mom is okay.

What a morning.  I was up at five-thirty and couldn't fall back asleep due to the allergy problems.  Only about three and a half hours of actual sleep.  Then I had to go see Little Shop of Horrors' dress rehearsal, but as it turns out I only could stay for act one because they were giving notes and then taking a ninety minute break.  I then went and had a cup of soup and a grilled cheese and bacon sandwich, picked up no mail or packages and am now home until about five.

I think MANY shows should have notes and a ninety minute intermission.

How was the first act, at least?

Today was a challenging day, to say the least.

In between clients, I answered the phone non-stop and retrieved countless voicemail messages. And yet, at the end of the day, there were 20 NEW voicemail messages. They all want appointments. WHY would anyone leave something as vital and important as having health care until 2 days before the final deadline? I just don't understand it.

And then they act indignant and shocked when I tell them that we have no appointments available at the time and location that suits them.

And then they have to come to my house to make sure that I can actually use the chair.

Actually, this makes sense even if it is unnecessary for you.  My sister got my father an electric chair and he used it once, gently crashed it and it sat there unused.  It should never have been approved for him, and wouldn't have if anyone had checked.

Yes, I just feel disorganize sometimes.    I was thinking about it today when I had a big stack of messages from  being out sick and what I realized is I'd have the same stack of messages, I just would have paid someone to take them

;D  Yes you would.

DR Ginny!  What a horrible change of plans your day took!  It's wonderful that she's apparently all right, but what a mess.  Sorry to hear that.

You can now buy Flonase over the counter.  With your constant allergies it might be worth trying.
