Well my highly anticipated first rehearsal for ANTIGONE has been postponed because of all of the [unpredicted] snow......so I guess my first rehearsal will be February 26.

I first remember Mr Louis Jourdan on NBC's Saturday Night at the Movies with Debra Paget in BIRD OF PARADISE.

Also featuring Jeff Chandler.....and for some reason the Yiddish Theatre's Maurice Schwartz as The Kahuna.

And of course as Lyle the crazy piano playing husband of Doris Day in JULIE.

Good morning, all.

I have a bit of catchup to do. Yesterday was just too busy to get to the computer.

Well, it'll cost $50 to have the three evil trees removed, a heck of a lot cheaper than the trip to the emergency clinic. When will I ever learn?

David Carroll's voice, along with Judy Kuhn's, is one of the real joys of the Chess OBC. I respond as much to their performances as to the music, which I like a lot.

I hope everything is fixed today.  I believe my last attempt to comment was regarding DR Jrand's brother seeing the post on facebook that the car wouldn't start, and then rushed over to help :)

I was missing a good many posts prior to that.  I could only see a few here and there.

My goal is to be married at least 60 years.  We "only" need to be 80 years old to manage that.

Thanks for reminding me DR GINNY.

I don't think I've ever seen that all the way through. I know I've seen part of it. So, I put it on hold at the library.

I just got this email from our DR TCB: I can't get in to HHW today. Is this system ever going to be fixed?  I'm beginning to take it personal.

I believe it's being worked on right now, but I'll check in a bit and see how they're progressing.

Lesley Gore

died of cancer today at 68. I have the most wonderful memories of her from television and listening to AM radio as a youngster.

DR George, I met David Carroll in 1983 or so, on the New Amstrdam Theatre Company's production of Roberta, for which I orchestrated the "I Won't Dance" and "Lovely To Look At" that are on the new recording.  I had seen David in a lousy version of The Wind In The Willows, with a great cast including Nathan Lane and Vicki Lewis and a beautiful score.  In Roberta, David played the football star, Judy Blazer was the Russian Princess, Paula Lawrence was Aunt Minnie, and Rusty Thacker and Loni Ackerman were Fred and Ginger. I liked David a lot, and my last memories of seeing him were backstage after Grand Hotel and a guest appearance, which was not too long before both of them died, with the late Wally Harper for the New York City Gay Men's Chorus.

Sad loss.

Thanks for the remembrace, Larry.
