Topic of the Day: When I was in high school, for a while I wanted to be either a watch repairman or an architect. I took shop in 7th and 8th grade and then not again until I was a senior in high school. I really enjoyed drawing the plans for the projects that I made, which made me think about architecture. Otherwise, I just really liked watches, especially pocket watches.
I high school, my friend Andrew let me take apart his Rubik's cube. I took the plastic center part from that and made wooden outer pieces. It didn't really fit together perfectly, but I got an "A" on the project, mainly because no one had tried anything like that before.
