Just made a rough mp3 of the two new songs I've done for the Sami project and sent them along for her to learn. It is so hard for me to play, read lyrics and sing at the same damn time.

I'm watching "Stormy Weather." It's an all-black cast but a couple of the actors (the characters are actors in a show) are putting on make-up to do a scene in black-face.

I can't remember if it is in BABES IN ARMS or BABE ON BROADWAY that Mickey Rooney does a number in blackface. So much for innocent fun.

I've never seen the whole film...just snippets, and obviously not that scene. I had no idea.

I came across a clip on YouTube with Judy Garland in blackface.

When I was a kid, there were a lot of movies that they showed on TV, where some of the black actors did numbers in blackface.

And has not only the complete score and songs, but bonus material that was recorded and filmed but not used - some of that was on the old CD, but we unearthed four more of those tracks.
