We watched FOXCATCHER last night.

Good film, great performances, but creepy.

Full moon tomorrow:

This hard-working full Moon arrives in the middle of all this week's fun social activities, ensuring that you take care of basics. Get plenty of exercise and sleep, and eat healthy foods to make the most of this time. Tap into the power of the Pisces Sun to help you access your intuition, which will guide you in making wise decisions. A full Moon is an excellent time to tie up loose ends, so clean out your closets and clear out any negative energy. You'll want every bit of your sharp attention to take advantage of the next new Moon on March 20 -- which is also a solar eclipse, and a potentially dramatic new beginning for you!

I liked FOXCATCHER even though it really played with events......as did SAVING MR. BANKS.....last year, which I also liked.

Hope the streets aren't too bad.  Glad to hear elmore's report of the mild weather.

Wednesday morning greetings!  We are hunkered down - again - waiting for more snow.  Looks like we're on the northern edge of a storm that will be worse to the south and east of us, but we're still expecting several inches of snow.

Best news I heard from yesterday:  DR Vixmom's report from her oncologist appointment!

DR Ginny, it appears that south of here (D.C., etc.), too, is supposed to get the brunt of it.  (Sorry, DR KevinH!)  Then again, they could be wrong.

What I hope they're not wrong about is this being it for a while.  Of course, I said and believed that very thing a week and a half ago, when it looked clear for a while and seemed inconceivable that another series of these things would come through.

DR ChasSmith, we've seen a lot of what our son calls "upside down" weather maps lately.  This time around they're predicting 7-10" in northern Kentucky, 4-6 in Cincinnati, and only 1-3" for us.

And I agree about being done after this one!

Speaking of our son, his workplace is now housing THIS GUY, who embodies Rob's remark that "no one comes to the jail for being smart."

Apparently, the widow of the murdered man got close to a $35 million settlement from DuPont.

Yes DR DRUXY, I read that, too.  I don't know if she is forbidden to discuss the case or not.

His brother had a lot to say about the movie.

The jury in the Jodi Arias case is coming back today.  They told the judge they couldn't reach an agreement yesterday, and she read them the Allen Instruction....aka the dynamite jury instruction......but NOT the full harsh one.

People are thinking that they will come back deadlocked or LWOP.

I think LWOP is the better sentence.....not as likely to be overturned as a DP....and she would have to pay for her appeals to the appellate courts.....no automatic paid for appeals to federal courts......

The only reason I would want the DP is that LWOP would be a thumbs up to her shady, lying defense team.....

The Band Wagon is one of my favorite films and Minnelli's sense of color is one of the reasons. The green in one Cyd Charisse's jackets, purple in another dress, red in the ballet, the blue black of night in Central Park, the white of their outfits, the blue of Astaire's socks. Don't mess with the color.

My favorite moment in FOXCATCHER is the scene where the Vanessa Redgrave character comes to the gym to watch her son (Steve Carell) working with the wrestlers.

She didn't have one line of dialogue, but WOW!

I like the Bandwagon.....especially at the beginning when Jack Buchanan is doing Oedipus and comes off stage and says "Bring me a pastrami on rye....."

ASK BK

in your IMDB credits you have "Thanks:" for a film called "Hold Me Thrill Me Kiss Me"

Would it be that it's similar to your song from The Creature Wasn't Nice? or something else?

No, it's a different film - I think Robert Culp is in it and Adrienne Shelly maybe?  I think I rewrote a couple of scenes for them.

Never saw her at the Shores - met her very briefly at one of the Ray Courts shows.
