I saw the osteopath today for my back treatment. I walked out feeling a lot better. I'll be seeing him again next week.

Thanks to all those who sent me vibes. Much appreciated.

Today I resumed my basement walking routine because 1) I didn't like what I saw in a picture that was taken at the book sale and 2) I need to "train" a bit for the treadmill stress test I have scheduled for a week from today.

Glad to hear you're exercising again. I had some anxiety about my treadmill test several months ago. I did fine, but it's tough if you're not used to it. Vibes it goes smoothly and easily.

I heard some fascinating gossip today that a conductor of a musical opening soon - whom I dislike and distrust immensely - is hated by everyone on the show. That cheered me up.

 :)

Thanks. It always helps, but it takes a day or two for it to "shake out", which can be uncomfortable. I have to schedule downtime, but at least I can plan around it.

Excellent, DR Elmore!  You don't get wonderful news like that every day.  You should hopefully enjoy a more contented sleep tonight.  :)

Yes, sleep vibes to Larry. With a good ole smirk, as well.

I've been watching CALL THE MIDWIFE for the third time. I do love that show. It's so touching and so beautifully done.

Watching a Comden and Green comedy called "What a Way to Go." Never have seen it, but love the cast: Shirley MacLaine, Paul Newman, Robert Mitchum, Gene Kelly, Bob Cummings, Fifi D'Orsay.

Apparently there are a couple of Comden, Green and Jule Styne songs, and Nelson Riddle did the score.

It's 20th Century Fox.

This was the opening attraction of the Studio Theatre on Central Avenue, formerly the Strand Theatre, around 1963 or so. I went to the opening showing. The late great Margaret Dumont is also in it, and I once talked about it to author Clive Barker.

Very dated, but fun.

Jane, I just finished Stewart O'Nan's new book, "West of Sunset," about the last days of F. Scott Fitzgerald. Sad, fascinating story.

I also just got the new Anne Tyler from the library. Looking forward to giving that a whirl.

DR Jennifer - I watched DWTS last night.   I thought there were some really good dancers and a few not so much.  The girl who kept complaining about trying to dance with her big boobs can go home any time

Mom said the same thing she says every first episode "I'm really disappointed, I don't think they're as good this time"  Then in a few weeks she'll say how great they are.  She always has someone she wants off now, she hasn't picked that person yet

Everything I have read about Scott and/or Zelda seem sad.

I don't usually read Taylor but comparedto thebooks I've been reading I expect one would be a good distraction.

And now, I'm off to the theater.  I'm much less secure on act two of "Laughing Stock," and that's what we're going to run tonight. :-\

Well, as I frequently say, "It'll be what it'll be."

Until later.

We finished running act one (what we didn't get through last night) and ran through all of act two.

We didn't have time to run act two twice, so we went through the last to scenes of act two and we were done for the evening.

I actually was able to get through my scenes without too much trouble.
