Today I resumed my basement walking routine because 1) I didn't like what I saw in a picture that was taken at the book sale and 2) I need to "train" a bit for the treadmill stress test I have scheduled for a week from today.
I saw the osteopath today for my back treatment. I walked out feeling a lot better. I'll be seeing him again next week. Thanks to all those who sent me vibes. Much appreciated.
I heard some fascinating gossip today that a conductor of a musical opening soon - whom I dislike and distrust immensely - is hated by everyone on the show. That cheered me up.

Quote from: John G. on March 17, 2015, 06:52:17 PMWatching a Comden and Green comedy called "What a Way to Go." Never have seen it, but love the cast: Shirley MacLaine, Paul Newman, Robert Mitchum, Gene Kelly, Bob Cummings, Fifi D'Orsay. Apparently there are a couple of Comden, Green and Jule Styne songs, and Nelson Riddle did the score. It's 20th Century Fox. This was the opening attraction of the Studio Theatre on Central Avenue, formerly the Strand Theatre, around 1963 or so. I went to the opening showing. The late great Margaret Dumont is also in it, and I once talked about it to author Clive Barker.

I've been watching CALL THE MIDWIFE for the third time. I do love that show. It's so touching and so beautifully done.
Jane, I just finished Stewart O'Nan's new book, "West of Sunset," about the last days of F. Scott Fitzgerald. Sad, fascinating story. I also just got the new Anne Tyler from the library. Looking forward to giving that a whirl.
And now, I'm off to the theater. I'm much less secure on act two of "Laughing Stock," and that's what we're going to run tonight. Well, as I frequently say, "It'll be what it'll be." Until later.
