TOD:

When I was growing up, we watched 21 (until the scandal hit) and never missed Groucho Marx.

These days, when there's nothing else on, I find myself watching Family Feud.

KINDLE COUNTDOWN DEAL!

CHARLA, my screenplay inspired by the life (and my relationship with) actress Charla Doherty, begins a one-week Kindle Countdown Deal later today.

In other words, if you act quickly, you can download a copy of the screenplay for as little as 99 cents. Over the week, the cost goes up in increments until it reaches the regular retail price of $5.00.

I'm glad I'm not coming in from Ronkonkama. There were 15 to 20 minute delays on the LIRR due to a freight car derailment at Wyandanch.

Yep just saw that between wyandanch and farmingdale. So it messes up vixdad's commute

Good morning, all! I will shortly depart for Toyland.  I must deal with this internet mess.

I had peculiar dreams, none of which I remember well now, except that my apartment building's basement got a new laundry room.

We watched the movie version of INTO THE WOODS last night.

Question: I've never seen it on stage, and I'm wondering how close (scriptwise) the film follows the stage production.  Although I enjoyed the movie and got what they were trying to do, the 3rd act seemed a bit convoluted.

I know we don't discuss politics here but can I just point out that Jesus said "love your neighbor as yourself " and "he who is without sin cast the first stone". Perhaps the writers of the "retail religious freedom" laws should take a little New Testament refresher course

I enjoyed:

Password
Concentration
_____Pyramid
I've Got A Secret
To Tell The Truth
What's My Line
Hollywood Squares (With Peter Marshall only)
Match Game (Revised Version)
Joker's Wild
Card Sharks

And I don't consider it a game show but it can be really funny:
Whose Line Is It Anyway?

As an audience member I saw Beat The Clock when it was taped in Montreal

And I was on Chain Reaction (1st revised version) where I won one game.

I know exactly how you feel, DR vixmom! What's worse is that I am pretty sure I got more sleep than you did.

I remember watching "Beat the Clock" growing up. And I had the home (board game) version, too.

I had to call for lines twice last night, but I wasn't the only one....the show is looking very good.....if a show about eternal doom can be said to be "looking good."

Wasn't it Fernando on SNL who said it's more important to look good than to feel good...

Let me know if you can use this router I still have sitting here, and I'll get it to you -- if it's the router that's the problem.

TOD:

Most any fame show imaginable, especially if you had to use an ounce of knowledge, like Jeopardy, Password, etc. but I also like the stupid High Rollers with Alex Trybek and Ruta Lee.

Monday morning greetings!  Great Aunt Ginny is very tired after helping throw a baby shower for Baby J and his Mom.  And all I did was provide the venue and make coffee, punch, and cheese balls.  I can only imagine how tired Aunt Jen is and I'm glad she took today off work.
