That is very scary.

DR Vixmom, thank you for the toe vibes.  I skipped my hiking group, and going to the gym with Keith.  I will get out for a walk later.  I probably should just keep in elevated and on ice, but you know I have things to do and  need my walks.

No news yet about the home inspection.  The buyers have until the 3rd to get back to us so I expect the inspector will have the report ready today or tomorrow.  I'm trying to stay calm as Keith has more than enough tension for both of us.

my ask bk is

from the cd Cool & Classic: Great Film Themes From The 70's you chose Come Follow, Follow Me Fred Karlin & Marsha Karlin. It is from a now very obscure 1972 film called The Little Ark that manager to have this song nominated for an Oscar.

What was the process in choosing this piece to be part of album?

Well, choosing that one was easy - Fred Karlin, who wrote it, was the arranger/leader on that album and he chose it.

I finally heard from the Movie Man today, sent him my headshot and a link to the MAN WHO CAME TO DINNER excerpt.

If that doesn't scare him away, we'll talk.

My question for ASK BK DAY:

Do you think any of the musicals from the last decade will be long remembered as "classic" Broadway musicals are?

Since we have people from all artistic walks of life who post and or just read here on HHW. I am wondering what people  think about boycotting working in Indiana and now it seems Arkansas to join the list. Will it help accomplish anything or does one wait until the next swing in politics to have it changed?

I think this is an interesting question, and can be answered without discussing politics and an opinion on the bill.

I'm not sure if it will make a difference and change the bill.  I wouldn't be surprised if large groups favoring the bill will make an economic statement to counter what is going on.

It will be interesting to see what happens.

George, I was listening to the whole album of "Offbeat of Avenues." I found it for a dollar recently.

The music reminds me a lot of the score for "Here Lies Love."

Well here in Indiana it's sort of a nightmare.....but we will see how things progress...so to speak.

A lot of businesses and even other state governments are saying they will not do business with Indiana or have conventions, etc.  Several university presidents have come out against the law.

Indiana has long been recognized as having the worst state legislature ever (there has been a decades long fight to pass a law to force gravel companies to put tarps over their open bed trucks to keep rocks from flying off onto cars.....the lobby against it has so many legislators in its pocket that the law won't pass....and windshields keep being broken.

It took decades to pass a law that let only big alcohol wholesalers to sell in multiple counties to pass....the Beer Baron law had prohibited all but the Kings from selling beer, wine, and liquor to outlets outside their counties.....

And on and on.  Single people are without recourse.....no person without dependents....mostly single men and women....are held to be without value in a wrongful death suit....unless someone is dependent upon his/her monetary support, the Indiana legislature will not consider the wrongful death of the individual worth any $$$.

And I could go on and on....

SO....it would be best for Governor Pence to just have the legislature repeal the law...and try to undo the harm....but he won't.....

He is not an asset to the abbey.  I posted this yesterday on my BookFace.

I really like that album.  Did you know that the song "10 Minutes Till the Savages Come" was inspired by the mood of the soundtrack to "Twin Peaks"?

DR Jrand, interesting about your state, especially regarding the wrongful death law of single people .
