I am home from the reading. Our DR ChasSmith came in with his ZORBA score, and it was nice to see him.  The orchestra played really well, but I suspect Joshie may gave some more work for me in the next couple of weeks.

Hopefully, he does!  Good luck with that, Larry! ;D

Ditto!

DR Kevin, do you ever go to the PBS website? You can watch MR SELFRIDGE and other PBS shows free for usually a couple weeks. I doubt that season 1 is still available from them, but season 2 is.

What a miserable day, weatherwise.  It rained on and off all day.

The sky cleared up and the views, with the snow capped mountains, were perfect this morning when I hosted my book group.  It was bittersweet knowing it was my last time having them here.  One of the members suggested I ask the buyer if she would like to join the group.

If all goes as planned I will be going to one more meeting so it wasn't goodbye and I enjoyed having them here.  I showed them our Casablanca/guest room to remind them we will have a place for company though it will never look this cool again.

This afternoon we had our teeth cleaned.  I put off having x-rays done until my next appointment, wherever that might be.

We'd love to have your rain. Conversations here often mention taking shorter showers and other ways to conserve water.

Remember when I talked about our HR manager who was let go?  Well, today we're having the open staff forum for the top two candidates!  They were each given a quick tour through the building and I got to meet them (briefly)...a woman and a man.

They both seemed very nice and have appropriate qualifications.  Hopefully, one of them will work out very nicely. :)

The end of taxes is in sight. But it's not done yet. Be back later -- I hope.

We went for a walk on the irrigation ditch and then down a semi steep area to walk back on the road to get off the mud.  I still need to use Keith as support (just him in front of me with my hand on his back) because I can't use my right foot for traction.

I want so very much to join my hiking group tomorrow but I don't think I should.  I only have 5 Wednesdays left.

Looks like Petula is a no-go unless we can find a hotel to donate the two rooms for her and her musical director.  I just don't get why corporate for ANY hotel wouldn't donate for a cause like ALS.  It's shocking, actually and if this ends up not happening I think I'll go to some local news stations about it because my guess is all those corporate people and the hotel employees were all over Facebook last year with the ice bucket challenge - that didn't cost them anything and they got to look like they cared, when, in fact, they didn't even probably know what ALS was.

Thanks!  There definitely was one better than the other, although the other would be pretty good.
