"1984" was incredible.  Very glad I went.  I'm taking a small food break at home, then I shall be off to the AMC to check out "The Sound of Music".

Crazy night.  I fell asleep around two or so, but fitfully despite the Ny-Quil.  Woke up at five.  Fell back asleep at six.  Woke up at ten to be ready for the ten-thirty conference call.  That took five minutes, then went back to sleep and slept fitfully until one-twenty.  Since then guess what I've been doing - answering e-mails!  Rehearsal in thirty minutes, then food!

I saw The Sound of Music this afternoon with a friend.

I know it was a digital presentation simulcast at same time but I wonder if that makes the colors not as vibrant and the sound almost mono. To me if the sound it the way it should be when the wedding organ starts it should fill the theater, but it didn't in my opinion.

Also just noticed for the first time that this image is not in the film. The scenes dissolves to the concert scene before the embrace is completed.

And of course it was in color.

I also tried to use this app called Periscope to simulcast bits and pieces of the audience watching the film I am not sure it worked. Don't really understand these things. Don't even use Twitter which you need to use the former.

Bruce (and DRs), I've found Sambucol to be helpful with allergies as well as viruses, which is convenient as it's sometimes hard to know whether your symptoms are allergy or cold. Don't take at the same time as Clariton, though. Take a few hours apart.

I was wondering how BK knew if it was a cold or allergies. I have been waking up a bit congested most mornings. It did not occur to me that it could be allergies.

10 more posts to the posting milestone (I've actually posted a lot more but at one time the counter was reset for a reason I no longer remember)

The milestone posting will also be around 4pm EST. With some good news (I really hope)

I'm counting words. It needs to be at least 1,000 words and I've got 350+ so far.

And now, I am done with the last act one.  It's sad and sweet at the same time.

I began to think last night it might be a cold, but it's just classic allergy symptoms.  I'm relaxing and resting.  I've finished all the entrance and exit diagrams and we had our rehearsal.

Funny: Lisa Livesay is singing the funny Alan Menken song Pink Fish.  I think she's the only female to ever attempt it because there's a lyric in the second verse that makes no sense for a female, but she just sings it anyway.  Here's the lyric

I went to my first audition
For Fiddler on the Roof
When I saw the other actors there
I though I had made a goof
No beanie, no beard,
Guess I must've looked kind of weird
But when I heard it was a religious show
I was mighty cheered

I told her it sounded odd to me and took me out of the song.  She said, "Well, what can we do?"  I wrote her a replacement lyric on the spot.  Same first four lines through "goof" and then:

No shmata, no shawl
I guess I didn't "get" it at all
But when I heard it was a religious show
I knew I'd have a ball

Problem solved :)

A book report on Peter Rabbit...

You got it.

1,067 right now. And I feel I'm up to the very, very, very, very part. The magazine folks really want about 1,200-1,500, but this chef just wasn't chatty enough.

Did you like it? I've always wanted to see the show. I really love the opening number. The rest of the score is less good, but I don't how effective it is except on the CD.
