Great news, DR Mike!  Remember, HHW is a great place to convalesce...

And I am home from a delightful Mexican dnner with the Clayton boys and John Bell at Cafe Frida. I am a bit tipsy from the pomegranate margaritas. The guacamole was fantastic.  I had the Mayan shrimp fajitas which were amazing.

I will be having my knee operated on in May. Have to get a cat scan, medical check up and do paper work from Fedex prior to going to the hospital.

And that is my 13,000th post

May your surgery be successful and your recovery be short yet productive.

Mentioning a CT scan reminds me of an old joke:

A man finds that his beloved dog is unresponsive and rushes it to a vet's office.
The vet takes a look at the dog and says it looks like it died from illness or old age.
The man understandably upset demands that the vet do some tests.
The vet says OK and leaves for a few minutes. He comes back with a cat and waves it over the dog.
Then, leaving the exam room with the cat, the vet returns after a few minutes with a dog from the back room. This dog is waving his tail and proceeds to sniff the man's dog, at which the once happy dog turns out of the room with his tail between his legs.
The vet looks at the man and says that after concluding his testing he can pronounce the dog officially dead, and that the bill will be $400.
The man asks for what is he being charged $400. The vet says that he charges $200, the cat scan is $100 and the lab test is $100.

George & TCB are you experiencing a lot of smoke?  We thought the smoke here was due to local burns.  Keith read it is from fires in Siberia and affecting the entire Pacific Northwest.

I didn't notice anything when I came to work, nor when I went to lunch.  Maybe we're out of its direct path.  Hopefully, it'll dissipate from your area quickly.

Vibes for DR Mike and his upcoming surgery.

A friend of mine had his knee operated on last December. It was good to see him on the dance floor Saturday night. Here's hoping you have the same quick healing.

Made some tomatillo margaritas tonight. The first was so good that the second was in the shaker in a matter of minutes.

Watching "This Is Where I Leave You" with Jason Bateman, Tina Fey, Jane Fonda and a bunch of other people sitting shiva after Dad dies. Not as funny or as touching it should be. But they have captured the dysfunctionalism of families.

DR T C B we do not have a new home.  Today we sign our papers here.  Once their check arrives, which could be this afternoon or tomorrow, we will not own this house either.

Hmmmm, might explain the knot in my stomach.

New Home vibes to Jane and Keith!

I had my final medical appointment today regarding my possible electric scooter.  It will now be between three and six months before I am told if I have been approved.
