After, I refused to give money to Jerry's so went to Hugo's because them having people at one-thirty is at least predictable.  And, in fact, it was very crowded at five-thirty because for the entitled of Studio City, Hugo's in McDonald's.  Had a Caesar salad and pasta papa.

I thought you had gotten tired of pasta papa, or was it something different?

Then I watched an interesting and necessary documentary about food called Fed Up - really well done and really makes you think and frankly I'm willing to attempt what they say should be attempted - as much as possible remove as much sugar from my food intake as I can, cook at home (chicken breasts, halibut - know how to do those), eat fruit and vegetables and completely stay away from processed foods.  I'll do eggs, try to not eat so damn much ketchup (sugar), and there are definitely things I like that are good to eat - like almonds and sweet potatoes.  I will do this for a month and see where it gets me.  This documentary posits that obesity has little to do with exercise, which I found interesting and intriguing.  It's on the Flix of Net and I recommend it.  I think this week the only time I really need to eat out will be the Smoke House on Thursday, and I can have prime rib and an artichoke and be just fine there.

That sounds like exactly the diet my doctor wants me to follow.

Fried oysters on the buffet are the only reason I would drive 35 miles to Shelton to eat.

One thing that will be hard for me - salad dressing - lots of sugar apparently.  So, if I'm at Jerry's occasionally I'll just do the chopped salad, maybe with turkey or ham and the oil and vinegar.

Being a celiac I have had to read labels very carefully and as a result have eliminated many bad foods. Many gluten-free foods are "whole" foods and are non GMO. Yet there are still the sugary foods that are difficult to lose, but I have cut back significantly, though not entirely.

Have you closed on the condo yet?

Yes.  It was very easy.  Now we need them to remove the furniture.  We kindly gave them extra time since we hesitated after the inspection and they didn't want to remove it if we backed out.

They offered to refinance my car loan at 2.5% interest.

Nice offer.  What are you currently paying?

That would save me over $1000.00 in interest.

That is a lot of interest paid.

Probably 12 to 14%.  Another reason I am changing credit unions.

Dan, how are you feeling today, or rather, tonight?

Still a bit sore in the mouth and tongue. And stiff in the upper body. I've stopped taking the oxycodone because it has created a constipation situation. I only took three tabs since Thursday afternoon, but it has a strong effect on me, so I stopped it and will deal with whatever residual pain and discomfort I'm having. My tongue and its taste buds aren't really working fully so food doesn't quite taste right.

I'm not.  I am using my Nook.  We watched Love is Strange and I am about to attempt to go to sleep.
