Last week when we were discussing singer/songwriters of a particular time, I forgot to mention Kris Kristofferson.

His movie CISCO PIKE was on the other night, and I had forgotten how much I liked a lot of his songs.

Well, I think I've gotten two hours of sleep so far.  Too much sleep this week and now too little sleep.  Guess I'll go back to bed and see if I can get a few more hours.

I am home.  It took me an hour by bus and subway, plus a walk of several blocks, to get to my doctor and another hour and a half for the exam:  I got drops to dilate my eyes and then my retinas were photographed. Lovely photos; my eyes re in great shapem andthey are syill dilated.  i can hardly focus now.

Then I caught a number 100 bus at 185th and Broadway, rode it to 125th Street and transferred to the 104 to get home.  I did not know the geography of the area so I really enjoyed the ride and watching the scenery.  The ride took about 90 minutes.

More tummy vibes to BK.

I like Reed's Ginger Beer (non-alcoholic). It settles the stomach like 7-up, but it also has lots of minerals. A naturopath recommended it to me for when one is sick or recovering.

Hopeful optimism for DR Dan M. This is very good news. I know it hasn't been confirmed yet, but this is certainly a good sign. Vibes for continued recovery.

Jane, your new condo view looks lovely, lots of open space. You wouldn't find much of that here in LA.

The Roto-Rooter man came and went yesterday and my bathroom sink is now draining as all good drains should. I was able to get some work done, then run a couple errands.

Today is the 91st birthday of the wonderful Sheldon Harnick, and this moving anti-war song cut from
THE ROTHSCHILDS
may be my favorite Bock and Harnick song:

I was very fortunate to orchestrate thus for BK's Lost in Boston 2,

I have plans for lunch today with a friend. This is the lunch that I had to cancel several weeks ago when the Tummy Turmoil hit me suddenly.

Also good for queasiness is ginger tea. You can buy the teabags or make it yourself by letting a slice of raw ginger steep in boiling water.

Good idea DR JANE.  There is too much ambient light for me to use my sky telescope, so sometimes I have to take it out to the country to see things......in the sky.

We won't be doing that, but then it often has been so brilliant here we didn't even need it.  Ours has had a lot of use over the years.  We purchased it when we still lived in L.A.

I am officially in panic mode.  I need to throw more stuff in the garage for the guy to pick it all up tomorrow morning to take to the dump.  The car can't hold anymore for Goodwill.

James Patterson ran out of nursery rhymes, deadly sins, and is onto an unlimited series, numbers, for his titles:
