My quiet Friday has kept me hopping except for the thirty minutes I tried to nap. I'm still craving peanut butter cookies, so I ordered a batch from an amazon.com baker.
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B008S2B61E/ref=od_aui_detailpages00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

If they arrive by next Thursday, i'll save a couple for myself and take the rest to the recording sessions for PAINT YOUR WAGON on May 29 and June 1.

I was feeling better, but now I'm nauseous again - I HATE THIS.  I think I may have to cancel out of the show tonight, but I guess I'll try to do the work sessions.

Bruce, if you can, have someone bring over chamomile tea. It's a natural way to restore your digestive system whether ravaged by flu, food poisoning or food allergy, or stomach bug. It kills off whatever is in there.

Those look great DR elmore! I would love to find a decent gluten free version, but I haven't yet.

Just received my Safeway delivery. One of the items I really needed, Snapple Peach Tea, they weren't able to deliver. Probably because it's on sale, $1.67 for 64 oz.

Gathering items to add to my gluten-free carrot cake. At least those were delivered. I already have the mix and the organic carrots which I will clean and shred myself. May be good, may not, but it's an experiment. In any event, I will learn.

Thank God, my upstairs dummy just left until later tonight. If only he'd move away (cf. DR Jeanne's NNs).

In the article, they quote Cecilia Bartoli:

Quote
She wrote in a program note that she looks forward to staging Leonard Bernstein’s “West Side Story,” which she described as a 20th-century masterpiece.

“The wish that Bernstein obviously expressed, that in the midst of the Broadway ensemble, the lovers’ roles, Maria and Tony, could be sung by operatic voices, opens up a wonderful new repertoire to me,’’ she wrote, “including hits like ‘Tonight,’ ‘One Hand, One Heart,’ ‘I Feel Pretty’ and ‘Somewhere.’ ”

That's fine, but within the context of the show, Maria doesn't sing "Somewhere."

I am told that my hard drive is dying. Since it is, OF COURSE, the start of a holiday weekend, I won't be able to take my Macbook into the shop until Tuesday. I'm hoping it lasts until then and will try not to tax it. I was promised a one-day turnaround, which is MUCH better than what I would have gotten at the other computer repair shop. For the last repair I tried a come-to-your-house repair guy, but I wasn't happy with him. So far I like this new place.

Can we add my Macbook to the vibe list for those ailing?   :)

CONTINUED FEEL-BETTER VIBES TO BK!

Bruce, I'd be very careful about taking any medication on an empty stomach, unless said med specifically calls for that. A few crackers are all you need.

And now, I must be off.  I'm working concessions for Amy Denio, a jazz performer.  Should be very interesting.

Be back later!

I am still amazed that DR vixmom did not actually crack or fracture anything in the fall.  Or even in the spring.  (No groaning.)  But it obviously did a number with sprains and whatnot, and those things heal when they heal and there ain't no rushing it.

Torn ligaments (AKA "whatnot") can take a very long time to heal.

Vibes that Vixmom's whatever heal quickly!

Wasn't that the film about the bombing of Pearl Harbor?

Yes, but mine aren't gone yet. I'd feel better if I saw them doing a big clear-out or heard that they've been served with eviction papers.
