Good morning, all!

Last night's dream was particularly strange:  I was emptying an office and moving books to a new space on another floor of the building; some elevators were working, some were not.  Then I was sitting at a cardtable on someone's front lawn, where a young friend had been selling candy or something, when Robert Kimball came along and sat down.  Then a child came up and bought some candy or lemonade and as soon as I handed the object to the child, its mother handed me an injunction/subpoena/whatever and told me that I was violating some ruling about vending.  Then, I was taking some strangers - an older couple - to some restaurant in Dayton, OH, and I dropped them off.  Then, we were all - the couple, Robert Kimball, and I - sitting in a movie theatre to watch a showing of the TV broadcast of DEAREST ENEMY.  Mary Rodgers was sitting in the row behind me.  Then this peculiar dream - I think somewhere in this megillah I won the court case about selling candy on my someone's lawn - during the showing of DEAREST ENEMY, it was announced that the US had declared its independence from England, and the couple had to leave the theatre and get back to England before their lands were confiscated for being guilty of treason.

I think there's a musical in this.

This morning, I am meeting Joshie at Toyland.  He may take some of the furniture  bookcases, shelving, chairs, or filing cabinets.  At some time net week, my colleague Peter and I will meet there, he will take my office computer and receiver home and give me a ride uptown with one of the paper cutters and the small binding machine.  God knows where I will be storing them.

TOD:
Meet Me In St Louis
The Pirate
Seven Brides for Seven Brothers
Singing In The Rain
The Bandwagon
Kismet
Gigi

I've probably missed a few I liked, but I am in the minority; I believe most of the MGM musicals stank.

Good morning, all.

I am already exhausted from reading DR Elmore's dream!

So glad to hear yesterday's recording session was great.  (Like I'd expect to hear otherwise?)

But I'm just wondering where in the HELL my CD is.  Must I open a PayPal dispute?

Oddly enough, I, too, have a paper cutter and a binding machine, from when the company I was working at closed their Danbury office in 2002.  But what's insane is that the binding machine sat here unused for over a decade, and it was DR Elmore's score binding that opened my eyes to the fact that I should be doing some of my own stuff the same way.  And what a wonderful thing it is.

I have some outdoorsy work that needs doing today.  It's to be rainy for a few days starting tomorrow, so dallying will not do.

Saturday morning greetings!  I have a meeting soon with the AAUW president who preceded me and has spent the last 2 years telling me how to do things.  I'm afraid she'll eat my successor alive...

...and now my plans have changed because Richard needs a driver to the doctor's office.  He has what sounds like what BK had last weekend.  Vibes would be appreciated.

Went to a marvelous choral concert last night. Drinks afterward with a gang at the University Club.

The party then moved to the home of a friend nearby, within walking distance.

Fun!

We ended up getting to bed about 12:30am.

I can't even remember the last time that happened.        :P

And yet here I am at 8:45am, bright and bushy-tailed, having already been up and about for some time and having already accomplished quite a lot of errands about town.

Well, this video is quite a lot of fun. And a great dose of nostalgia, as well.
