Well, you've read the notes, the notes spoke of Kritzerland at Sterling's 58, and now it is time for you to post until the 58 cows come home.

TOD:

Company, from my parent's LP collection. I then quickly graduated to other Sondheim show LPs from the public library.

Soon to depart for a long drive. I have to be at a hospital far, far away from here for a 7:00 am presentation. I'm the presenter.

TOD:

A LITTLE NIGHT MUSIC was the first Sohdheim show I saw on stage.

I'd previously seen the film versions of GYPSY and WEST SIDE STORY.

Good morning, all!  I have to leave shortly.  Today I kill off Toyland and shut the door on it.  It's a bit sad, but it isn't as if I didn't know this was coming for the past year.

I'm happy to hear the show went well. I did not expect to hear otherwise.  I love Kerry O'Malley.

We finished watching the final season of JUSTIFIED last night.

Terrific series.  If you've never seen it, it's well worth your time.

Well, so far I've had about ninety minutes of sleep.  You'd think I'd learn the lesson of not to eat at Little Toni's anymore - or at least stay away from the pizza - there is something in there red sauce and that topped with the butter just makes it impossible for me to digest the food there - it just site in a lump in my stomach and it feels like I've topped off.

TOD

I first experienced him from the film West Side Story.

Next was when I played L.A. in Gypsy.

But I became obsessed when I saw Sweeney Todd on Broadway. I wanted to hear and see everything he ever did.

TOD: I was 12 or 13 when I first heard A Little Night Music and fell for it instantly. I had known Forum and West Side Story before that, but I had no idea who wrote it. With Night Music, I absorbed everything about Sondheim I could get to that point.

And the word of the day is: ANTIMACASSAR!

I learned this word from Cole Porter in the song Pets:

Some are amassers of antimacassars and others Victorian lamps ...

George, thanks for posting the cover of the Don't Play Us Cheap album. I had that ages ago. Probably still have the vinyl, though the cover got destroyed in the great flood. The movie was filmed on a stage set that looked like a theater with no fourth wall. According to the extras on the disc, Van Peebles staged it after making the movie.

Tuesday morning greetings!  Takin' it slow this morning after having to be up and out Sunday and yesterday.  I have a bunch of errands to do today, but nothing with a time schedule.
