The problem is that the two DVRs that I have use the same frequency for both remotes, so I need to cover the front of the DVR that I don't want to watch.

Ginny, was it Barry Manilow or Bradley Whitford that almost drove you away? ;)

Just had an explosion that sounded like the entire city of Tacoma had blown up.

I took a three hour nap today, because I can!  When I woke up, I thought it was six a.m.

I've only heard a couple of smallish explosions...so far.

I wish I had made some potato salad for myself.  I ended up buying some from the Metropolitan Market.  It was pricey and edible, but not very good.

Yes, we won!! The 30th win of the season.  I didn't stay for the fireworks because Boo gets very upset by them and I wanted to be home before it started sounding like a war zone.  They are illegal here but legal across the border in South Dakota, so they don't enforce the law here and they go off for days and days

I drank 4 bottles of water at the game.  I'm beginning to wonder if I wasn't a little dehydrated today and that was part of the reason I wasn't feeling well

My mom and a friend of hers are going to a local casino to see their fireworks.  It should be a very loud show!

Back from the partay - I was only going to stay an hour but stayed three - it was fun.  But I had food that virtually had no calories at all - some corn (no butter or anything), some green beans, and some fruit.  So, I really must eat something - I have some stuff here, but I may just go to Jerry's and see if they're open and, if so, have a turkey sandwich.

I have decided not to go watch the fireworks tonight.  That would mean traveling all the way thru the living room and out onto the balcony.

I was just watching the fireworks from Saturday in the Park out my front window.  Aretha must have either started late or stayed on longer than expected or both. It should get quieter now, I think all the official displays are over.   I loved fireworks until I moved here.  There are just far too man of them.  Every event seems to have fireworks.

This year there was a lot of press about how fireworks effect veterans with PTSD. Don't think that will make much difference.

Fireworks have been illegal here since my dad was a boy. But you couldn't tell from this neighborhood...it looks like the skies over Disney after the parade

The stupidest thing the Arizona legislature ever did was make fireworks legal here. The desert. In July. Stupid.

Then when the cities all made them illegal to set off, the Arizona legislature passed a law that the cities couldn't make it illegal to set them off. Stupid. It is the cities that have to pay the fire departments when those things set things on fire.

I agree stupid.   There was a bill to make them legal in Iowa.  Glad it didn't pass

Be careful, Folks!

At my friends' house, the fireworks were thick and heavy and lasted two hours. At one point we saw the cat fly into the backyard as if a firework had been lit under her.

I'll admit the show was way too loud, but then it was being set off 10 feet in front of us. I did get some ash in my hair, which I didn't care for, either.

It sort of felt like being in an IMAX theater with fireworks going off to the left, several spots in front, my friends' fireworks in center, and more to the right.

Vixdad insists on putting catsup on his hotdogs when everyone knows that they must be eaten with Gulden's  brown mustard and sauerkraut

I prefer ketchup, relish, and chopped onions on my hotdogs. :)

We had brats with peppers and onions or sauerkraut and plenty of Gulden's.
