DR JOHN G - it is definitely British....but the Milly is more so than Adam.....  But even at that, her voice is less annoying and cloying than that of Jane Powell....

Once on the Prairie Home Companion - there was a couple who did some Broadway songs - he played the mandolin and she played the fiddle.  They sang "Shall We Dance" and "Tonight" (I think), but I can find no evidence on YouTube or elsewhere.

Well, I googled, read what the Greeks said, and by the same token, you could never post on the same internet board twice.

You can never walk into the same supermarket twice, either.

Maybe Heraclitus can explain this:

Fireworks on the Hudson River for the opening of HAMILTON?

Ooh!  I have my DVR set to record "Silk Stockings" at 2 a.m.   Today's Fred Astaire day on TCM.

I'm hoping "Silk Stockings" will be a high definition anamorphic print.

I love that movie. Charming Cole Porter songs.

FYI: When I clicked on the indiegogo link in the notes, I was told that that offer had expired. I had to search for Welcome to My World.

Jane Powell fan, sorry, JRand. I even saw her and Keel in a stage production of 7B. I even have a few of her movies, like Athena, Royal Wedding and a Date for Judy.  And yes, I need therapy. :)

It's a Jade Helm 15 plot.

Thanks for the additional vibes for my aunt!  I'm still at home and my sister just called.  They think it's colitis, which is what my other aunt has that kept her from visiting this week, so she's going to stay the night in the hospital.  At least they have a diagnosis.

My sister also told me that our cousin from Oregon is having some pains that he's going to have checked out tomorrow, so he and his wife probably aren't coming up to visit.  This is not how this vacation was supposed to turn out. :P

And now, I'm going to my sister's and maybe we'll visit my aunt in the hospital a little later.  And finally, tonight is the final rehearsal of "An Improbable Peck of Plays, Vol. IV" that we have without an audience.  Tomorrow night is our $5 preview.  Hopefully, people will show up.
