Sunday morning greetings!  I begged off going to Lima today, because my 4 days of papercrafting in Cincinnati wore me out.  It was actually 3 days of crafting and 1 day (yesterday) of shopping, but I now have some new skills, ideas, and LOTS of new stuff to work with.

I hope I will see my friend Andrea again today at some point....

Give her a hug from me, DR Elmore!  I'm so glad you two have been able to get together.

And, next time we're in NYC, I want to go to Cafe Frida!

I just washed my hair, and I can't do a thing with it!

Did you have a man in it?

MY ask BK question (since its anything goes day)

What does a line producer do?

Since BK isn't up yet.

From wikipedia

A line producer is a type of film producer that functions as the key manager during the daily operations of a feature film, television film or the episode of a TV program. A line producer works on one film at a time.

Very interesting notes about Deliverance.

My memory places it at the Dome, so if that's correct, it had to have been only the second or third film I saw there after moving from Cleveland, Ohio to Hollywood, USA.  (The first was Frenzy, opening night.)

I didn't know anything about it, but friends did and they wanted to see it, so we all went and I remember feeling unnerved by it (for all the reasons in it) the rest of the evening.  The next time I saw it in a theater was years later at that crazy one out east on Hollywood Blvd. across from the Pix or nearly so, on a zillionth run, perhaps on a double bill (possibly with Southern Comfort, which would be appropriate)...and it still had its impact on the big screen.  Great film.

Well, I must be getting along on this last day of the film festival.  Will try to peak in during the day, but won't be getting home till very late tonight.

I saw "Deliverance" when it was first released. I have no urge to ever see it again.  I'll wait for the musical.

She's seeing a friend at 3:00 and I'm here until noon, so I'm hoping I'll see her later in the afternoon.

Well....it really was a good show.  Everyone was very good.  The staging was good....the dancing was okay, but seemed to be dancing for dance sake and not really connected to the material....but it wasn't off-putting.

IT'S A LONG SHOW!  Intermission came at 9:45....and several people left....  The show ended at 11:07.  Just so long.  Nothing really dragged, but so many reprises and songs that go on and on and come back and come back.  I think it's more of a matinee show for me than an evening show.....

Four more performances next week, and then WE get the stage!

Way too long. And not a good show, in my opinion.

Has anyone else seen the new TV Guide?  It's shrunk again, but not to its original size.  It is halfway between the two sizes.  Very weird.

No.  I stopped getting it when they changed the size and content.  For years they would call and ask me to renew but they didn't seem to care about my reason for not renewing.

I don't think I've seen an actual TV Guide magazine in years.

Don't you ever go to a supermarket or to Fred Meyer's?  They are right at the check stands.

We now shop at Fred Meyer.  I will have to look for it.

As said, a line producer is the producer who really does the nuts and bolts work day to day - in other words, not just a title, but the guy who attends to all the details.

Yesterday our high school class had a little gathering.  I have been looking at the photos and comments on facebook and wishing we could have gone.

Strangely enough, at least in what I've seen in theatre and indie film, it's far far easier to find a line producer who gets hired and often gets paid for their work, than it is to get a titled "producer" (or group of "producers") who gets his or her title for having brought money to the project, either money of their own or having the ability to convince other people to put in their money.  :)

I stopped buying TV GUIDE when they stopped having local editions and turned into PEOPLE Magazine.....

I am sure it was a pain to do all those editions and get them into stores in the racks....but that was what it was known for....now as a TV Guide, it's fairly useless except in a general way.

It was going downhill before turning into People magazine.  I think they were having too much difficulty keeping up with all the new stations.  It is a shame they couldn't be more creative in keeping up with the times.

I have been copying a song in my best hand as a wedding anniversary gift.  I get so caught up in trying to be perfect that I screw it up and have to begin again.
