50th & 8th, now home to Worldwide Plaza, which has, in its basement, what was built as a Cineplex and is now the legitimate (!) Dodger Stages, was, in my youth, Madison Square Garden.
Still, that famous edifice may have been knocked down by the time Writers Block is set in.
