I went for a long walk.  It was cool when I left but turned a bit muggy.  I'm surprised at the humidity here, or have simply become sensitive to it.

I  must prepare to leave in 30 minutes.  I never know how long the bus will take to get down 9th Avenue, which is always congested at rush hour.

I am looking forward to seeing my friend, but i cannot say I am looking forward to being in the crowded theatre districy in this pain and discomfort.

So, bk - this is probably too much to ask; a logistical nightmare - but...

Is there any way a person can know when they've exhausted their supply of promo Kritzerland CDs and need to start placing paid orders again?

I simply do not care for fruit, that's the bottom line.

Most especially chocolate pie.

(Cocoa beans are seeds from the fruit pods of cacao trees)!

Oh, when we went to go to Stanley's in Sherman Oaks last week it was closed for kitchen upgrades.  Just got the word yesterday that they are not reopening.  Another lovely Valley jernt bites the dust, due to the whims of the terminally hip ASSES who just move on to the next place.

Sadly, my default reaction to "closed for renovations", etc., is to assume that the next thing I see will be something new and unwelcome.

Friday morning greetings!  After a couple of busy days and 2 consecutive evenings of socializing, I'm enjoying a quiet day at home today.  Last night was my book group's annual potluck dinner and movie night, for which I made these:

Very tempting, indeed!

There's a lethargy in the office today. Feels like moving through molasses. Maybe it's a Benedryl hangover. But other people are feeling it, too.

Sorry to hear this. Do you think it's ragweed? I used to feel horrible during ragweed season when I lived in the East. Since returning to California my allergies have been minimal--until a couple weeks ago. I'd been told that California doesn't have ragweed, but we DO! It could be a particularly bad season.
