Yes, I too felt frustrated reading about BK's troubles with AT&T. I had a major problem with them several years ago. There had been a problem and someone tried to fix it, but did so in a way that I received nasty notices every month, despite the fact that the problem had been solved. Every month I'd have to call again and get it straightened out. What nonsense! With AT&T you must be persistent. I think their customer service people are trying to help, but they're either poorly trained or are working with poor software--or both.

And that includes those of us who still feel the losses from 9/11.

Just found out that a former co-worker from Florida days who now lives in Seattle has been nominated for the Washington State Book Award.

http://www.seattletimes.com/entertainment/books/finalists-announced-for-the-washington-state-book-awards/

Her name is Kathleen Flinn and her book is called Burnt Toast Makes You Sing Good. I haven't read it yet.

Congrats and good luck to your former co-worker, John!

From me, too.

So good to see Dan M here. I'm glad you were able to get away for a bit; always helpful, I think. Kudos to DC Minny! Pets are a special sort of friends.

The weather forecasts have been jumping all around. "Today will be cooler than yesterday." Then, "Today will be warmer than yesterday." And back again. It was hot again. I hoped for this heat to break, but no. Maybe tomorrow.

Just got word that we're at about seventy-five tonight, which will look full (theater has ninety-nine seats in all) and tomorrow night we're already at about eighty-two and I think that will go up by another five or ten.

I stopped at Trader Joe's on my way home, planning to buy, among other things, some capellini (gluten pasta). What?! They had none. So I shall be trying their quinoa pasta one day. I'll provide a full report. Whenever that happens.

DR George - I'm sure your parents appreciate your efforts. I am just not certain that anything good can come from a chainsaw mounted on a pole.

Well, there is that...I certainly share your concern. ::)

;)

I was afraid to ask;D

Good morning, all!  It's a somber day in Manhattan, and the stations are filled with 9/11 memorials.

I can't imagine what you went through, and what you're going through.

Thanks again for all the nice comments.  Tonight's audience is traditionally quite vocal....so we shall see.

The funniest thing that happened last night didn't happen onstage.  The stage manager - who will NOT be giving us notes anymore - looked at all of us and said "Two minutes" and we said "Thank you, two minutes" and walked past her toward the wings.

Karen and I are the beginners for the Second Act, so we went to our waiting places to get adjusted to the dark and be ready to start......we waited.....and waited.....and waited.....after about three minutes she pulled the masking drape back and said: "Oh there you are....." and ran back to her table to give the light and sound people the GO signal.....

Where did she think we went?  Why didn't she look there first?  She saw us walk toward the stage when she gave the two minute call.....

That's funny.

And happy first Friday vibes.

This woman is giving DR Jrand a lifetime of stories to entertain people with.

I am waiting for Keith and annoyed I left a script for blood work at home.  I didn't realuze we would be nextdoor to the lab.  I should have done this test in April.
