I'm taking the afternoon off, plus I'm taking tomorrow off.

I earned it, and I'm taking it.

Besides Stephen Sondheim, what Broadway writers can you think of in the past 30 years?  I've got these: Jerry Herman, Michael John LaChiusa, Jonathan Larsen, Jason Robert Brown, Jeanine Tesori, and Maury Yeston.  I feel I've missed someone.

Cy Coleman?  Flaherty & Ahrens?

I never think of Mr. LaChiusa, Mr. Larsen, Mr. Brown or Ms. Tesori.  Sondheim, Herman and Yeston, sure.  Ahrens and Flaherty and Coleman as someone already suggested, sure.  To that, like him or not, one would obviously have to add Andrew Lloyd Webber.  And for that matter, Jule Styne still had one up his sleeve in the last thirty years.

I consider Stephen Schwartz, Charles Strouse, Marvin Hamlisch, and Cy Coleman writers from before the past 30 years.

Susanna Moross Tarjan just called me that "Fresh Air," the NPR program, will review THE GOLDEN APPLE recording today. It's on a 2:00 here, so I will listen to that.

Larry, how was it?

My father has some new anti-anxiety medicine so he slept all night.....and is still catching up on his sleep.  So today should be less stress for my mother.

While I was finishing my book, Richard did something we've been threatening to do for some time - cancelled our landline.

Bye-bye, telemarketers, scammers, and robocalls!

Congrats on making the break, Ginny! :D
