For Jack and the entire Earles family:

My very best wishes to you in this time of grief.  Big hugs to each of you.

Front curtains:

"Wicked" had one when it premiered in San Francisco.

It still did when I saw it in Seattle at the 5th Avenue Theatre.

The musical version of "Secondhand Lions" (also at the 5th Avenue) also had a curtain.  If I remember correctly, there were animated flying airplanes projected onto the curtain before the show started.  That was kind of cool.

Can Randy and his wife help run interference?

I don't know.  They both hate Lady M.  We all hate Lady M!!!

I'm going to call him tonight.

LOL! Thanks, DR George! That's pretty much the state of things.

Vibes for Elmore. Oy and double oy.

( I wish spellcheck would stop changing oy to it. Most irritating.)

Well, I had exchanged messages back and forth with friends, one in Austin and another visiting Austin, about getting together for lunch today. I even took an extra day off work to do it. I find out, as I sat down to lunch at the agreed upon place, that the one from Austin thought it was for dinner and the other thought it was tomorrow. I feel like I've wasted the day. Except for a few small purchases.

I spoke to Randy.  He has no idea what is going on at the Macbeths and was completely surprised by the email.

I appreciate all your advice. I need to decide if i take action now or wait until I am back in Ohio.

It seems like it will upset you if they show up at your event. Maybe you could just email them and tell them that you would be too distracted if they were there. And maybe you can arrange a separate time to meet.

I never want to see either of them them again. Ever!

Well, then that's your answer.

Are we sure those were real front curtains?  Many shows have what they call "show curtains" which are not the main drape.

Since they asked, you could just respond and tell them that you do not want them to go and leave it at that.  You don't have to explain. You don't have to tell them you never want to see them or even deal with any of it right now. They asked the question so I'd just answer it. No need to make it more drama than that.

Maybe the Macbeths suddenly realized you were more important than they'd realized all the years, nd they want to be part of your glory.  That would be a "Macbeth" thing to do.
