FJL, the Julie on the San Francisco Opera production of Show Boat was Patricia Racette. I think you mentioned that you knew her. Her singing was very good, but I think the director should have restrained her acting a little more.

Back from a quesadilla.  The helper returned today, only to find out her father might not make it through the night, so she's now on a plane home - three months gone, back for approximately four hours and gone again, until the beginning of November.  Luckily the replacement helper will continue.

I am so disgusted with LA and its weather right now.  Anyone who doesn't think there's global warming and that the weather is completely screwed, think again.   I think we've had a total of about ten hours of rain in the last eight years - seriously.  And now?  It's over 103 degrees here.  Bye bye planet.

Well, I just counted the money from last night's performance of "HEAD!" and we made more last night that the entire three performances of last week!  (Overall, it's not really a lot, but it's good for us.)
