Thanks, DR Jane! So far, so good - smooth cab ride to the airport, curbside bag check, and I survived security. I'm a little concerned because the guy who checked my bag thought briefly that I was going to Wilmington, NC, but my boarding passes are correct. We'll see where my suitcase goes...

Did you check the tag on your bag to see if it was correct? Not that having a correct tag got our luggage on our flight-lol

We met a woman on the cruise who said she only takes a carry-on bag. She uses a service that picks her bags up a few days before her trip and they are at her location when she arrives. I wonder what that costs.

Jane, in the days when I took long trips that is exactly what I did - one carry on item, and using three-day Fed Ex (or ground) I shipped ahead everything else I'd need.

That has got to be pricey today. Next time we can't get by with just our carry-on bags we might check into the alternatives. The liquid restrictions really get me because I'm so darn sensitive to products I can't easily find items I can buy along the way vs carrying them with me.

I considered that, DR Jane, and might have tried it but for 2 reasons:

1) My flights were not direct and I didn't want to have to navigate the Philadelphia airport with a suitcase and
2). For AAUW reasons I wound up having to bring my laptop and that made my carry-on too heavy on its own.

I am home. The session went very well. The amazing Joshie did great work, and Jonathan seemed happy, as did everyone else.

The orchestrations are very jazzy, and one cue sounds like something out of a 1960s Bond caper.
