Time to think about dinner. I am tired of my chicken stew, I must admit.

This weekend, I will go to market and buy the goods for either chili or pasta sauce.  I'm thinking chili.

MR BK is this your house across the street - or had Annette moved to Encino by the time this photo was taken?

There is a lot of Norman Rockwell in the comments today DR JANE.

I can't help but think how BORED today's ten year olds would be at the wonderful memories we are posting today.......

About as bored as I am with the activities of 10-year-olds, probably. I do not understand the appeal of electronic games. Other than sudoku, of course. :)

I was led to believe my SAG pension was beginning Feb 1 and it did, only they're not sending Feb 1 until the end of the month along with the March check.

Red tape...    Congratulations on receiving what is due!!!

BK, you should see if the dining section at the Los Angeles Times or Daily News is interested in a story on the new book. All of the nostalgia surrounding many of those restaurants could make for a colorful feature.

While we walked I asked Keith what his typical Saturday was and he said the movies.  He either walked or road his bike.  While I often went to the kiddie Saturday matinee with my friends it wasn't a given that we would go.    The day was usually spent with friends, however, what we did varied.  We just might play and one house or the other, ride our bikes. roller skate, ice skate, all sorts of different activities.  I also played tennis with my tennis friends.

Taking about the children's matinees while walking naturally flowed into a discussion between the difference in the snacks sold.  Back then the boxes were smaller, and a more appropriate size, and well priced.  Even with inflation the cost of snacks today is ridiculous.

Home, briefly, to let the dog out and feed her, then off to a rehearsal.

Unfriended the second person this week for their endless barrage of political crap that shows up every five seconds.  I don't care about anyone who feels the need to be relentless like that, and especially posting bogus stuff about the candidates they don't like.  Believe me, all these candidates have said real things that will dig their own pits, so why it's necessary to post fake stuff is beyond me.

If you just don't want to see their crap in your newsfeed you can click "unfollow".  I believe that then you are still friends but you don't see their stuff in your newsfeed. I do this a lot for groups when I don't want to see it in my newsfeed.

I believe that's Studio City - if you panned to the right you'd see my house.  The house you see there, the kind of green house, is the house that was torn down and replaced by a monstrosity next door.

Spent ninety minutes with Grant entering the final fixes - even as we did so, we found three more things.  Go know.  Tonight I'll spend a bit of time just going through it one last time, but I think it's probably ready to be locked now.  Cover looks great and we're just now waiting for the blurbs, which will hopefully come by Sunday.  We did a couple of style adjustments, at my request.

Then I came home and met with a musical director for the LA show and I've hired him.

Then it was an unexpected but delightful two-hour visit with Nick Redman.  We've got a Fox soundtrack package that we just decided to do and it's probably going to be my favorite release of the year.
