Tuesday morning greetings!  After a very stern lecture from my doctor yesterday and not liking what I saw on his scale, I decided this morning to return to my basement walking routine.  The goal is 30 minutes, but I'll have to work up to that.  Today I did my stretching and walked for 10 minutes and that was enough.

Maybe four hours of sleep - workers were especially loud this morning, beginning at seven on the dot, yelling, hammering, being obnoxious - time for me to perhaps go have a conversation because I've HAD it.  A little respect and courtesy is a good thing when you're disrupting people's lives for months.  But what do they care, they go home to their nice quiet neighborhoods.

I have decided to stay home, although I was looking forward to today's rehearsal.

Good because if you are not walking at least 30 minutes a day that is not healthy.

DR elmore do you take any pain meds before PT?  I have found it helpful.

No.

If they don't make you groggy I suggest you try it next time.

Mother Angelica passed away on Easter Sunday.

She was truly one of the most inspirational persons I know of.

May she rest in peace!!!

One of my favorite Mother Angelica Quotes:

But truth must be in us.
We live in such poverty of the truth today."

But after getting out of the habit and having diminished lung capacity, you can't jump right in doing a 30-minute power walk.  Today I did 10, tomorrow I'll try for 12, etc.

Went back to bed - maybe got another hour, but the noise is incredible and then someone's car alarm went off and blared for ten minutes.  Now that I'm up, it's quiet next door.

Sorry to hear about Patty Duke - I had a major crush on her when I saw The Miracle Worker - and I finally got to meet her oh so fleetingly at one of the Ray Courts shows.

That sounds very 18th-century...

Yes.   What can cause a "ruptured intestine"?

And now we get word that James Noble has died.  He was Robert Guillaume's co-star on "Benson" (he played the governor).
