I finished Jack Viertel's book on the Secret of the American Musical today. I enjoyed it for the most part and I liked his perspective on most shows (except Book of Mormon), but I felt like he might have offered some more valuable information if he had analyzed more than hits. Sometimes, the flawed shows have more interesting information to impart than the hits.

Viertel also doesn't seem to have much affection for most writers of shows today, except for Lin-Miranda Hamilton.

We have been lucky with the weather this week, not that I know what normal is yet. I seem to recall it was sunny last year when we decided to buy our condo and then wet and cold when we closed around April 23rd.
