Back from a lovely luncheon, where I visited with lots of people I hadn't seen in a while.  In the 1987-88 directory for this group I was listed as "Mrs. Richard Palmer (Ginny)" and in the 2016-17, I'll be under my own name along with my cell phone number and email address.  Guess a few things have changed...

It is shocking to see Mrs. Richard in the 80's.

This is a very traditional group, DR Jane.  And I think they went with our own names in 1988-89...

That's for sure.  Will your current listing be Mrs. Ginny or just Ginny?

DR Jane, I don't remember how they are in this year's book.  I only had access to Robin's copy when we were in the car on the way to and from the luncheon venue.  I'm thinking - no titles...

I think your friend is the front runner.

That's what I told Keith.  We haven't actually met him yet.  We are going to his cousin in-law's wedding in June but I suspect he will be working.

My friend Glenn died this morning with his wife of 63 years and his son near him.

When I get home tonight I will be making his favorite style of martini (gin only, lemon twist) in his honor.

John, my condolences to you and to his family.

And now, it's off to the theater for our next to last rehearsal without an audience.  Hopefully, the lines will come more easily to the actors.

San Antonio was supposed to have its Big Give, a day of donating to charities today.

We're talking millions of dollars not getting to charities after months of campaigning for the day of the Big Give. Sad.
