To answer TCB's question from last night:  no, the WCPA did not ask me.  It was all very quick.  The newspaper person was at an event and just asked some random volunteers to fill out some questions.  I wasn't at the right place at the right time. :-\

Correct me if I'm wrong, but is this the day we get back to Real Life?

Well, I was awake early and I enjoyed me some videos.  Yes, that's it.  That's my story and I'm sticking to it.

So what's in store for the week?

Well, the housemates are off to sunny Florida.  I've got two (count'em) checkups -- dental and optometrist, a school jazz concert to attend, a couple of local productions to get to over the weekend, some outdoors work to get done, at some point a run-through of ACT ONE to sit in on, and my own work on that to have prepared for tech week next week.  I also have to ask the furnace and a/c people when they're coming out to do the annual maintenance because the blower is making more noise than usual.

Today in particular I'll be spending some quality time with my DVR'ed ACT ONE, which I don't seem to tire of.  I really like the play, and Tony Shalhoub, Andrea Martin, and DR Elmore's close personal friend Santino Fontana are a collective delight.

For now, I am ensconced in the recliner with a cup of coffee at my side and a large cat on me.

The other large cat is sitting, watching, waiting, a few feet away.

Waiting to be served.

For it is feeding time.

I awoke at 5:30.   About an hour later, after lying there awake, I got out of bed, took a bath and I'm up and sorta moving.

At 10:45, I see Doctor Vairavamurthy on fifth Avenue and 48th for a cortisone injection in my hip,  I'm a bit terrified but I hope it helps.

Dr. V's office called just now.  He's cancelling today, so I am now scheduled for June 14. Damn.

I had a lot of Jane Austen dreams last night,  In the first, I dreamed that I was watching Pride and Prejudice from Mr. Gardiner's perspective. He was Mrs. Bennett's lawyer brother whose head was screwed on straight.  His sister's was not.

I was hot and changed into shots, t-shirt, and sandals.  It has now cooled down and it is chilly.
