I have also finished the monthly report I assemble every month before the first Friday of the month.

I took me half a day!  It has sometimes taken me three days (due to folks not finishing their updates).

Huzzah!

Congrats to that, Ron!

What can I say about last night's performance of La Cage?  It was really terrific.  The actor playing Jacob (the "Maid") had a death in the family so the understudy went on and he was hilarious.  Bobby Smith, who is a well-known local actor (but I confess, not to me) was great as Albin/Zaza and Mr. B. Barrett was tremendous as Georges.  HIs version of "Song on the Sand" was just so great.

I had a cup of chicken soup and a patty melt and no fries or onion rings, picked up a package, and am relaxing and taking every precaution I can to fight germs and illness.

Since I'd been writing lyrics in the NY Times reader-comment section for so long, the Times asked me to write a "parody lyric" on the subject of the ArtsBeat column coming to an end after all these years.

It's at this link, actually part of the article this time and not in the comments; you just have to scroll down a bit:

http://artsbeat.blogs.nytimes.com/2016/06/01/service-advisory-artsbeat-is-finished/

That is wonderful Fred!!

A nice visit from DR Laura!  I miss seeing your pictures here

I've never been able to figure out how to size them correctly here.

We had a terrific adventure today for Freedom Day. We drove all the way out to see "The Thing," a roadside attraction along I-10 that my daughter had never heard of.

We stopped at the casino in Tucson for a buffet lunch, and discovered that the buffet is only open for Tuesday lunch and Thursday dinner.  ???

We renamed our GPS "Stupid Alice" because it gave us the craziest directions imaginable. It sent us to the Air Force Base when we were looking for Quizno's. Then it sent us winding through the streets of downtown Tucson trying to get back to the interstate.
