Yesterday I missed congratulating DR FJL on the NYT shout-out.  Richard saw it on Skip's Facebook page and sends his congratulations, too!

Thanks so much, Ginny and Richard!!

And that Jrand's "tar" has been fixed. I think you're very lucky to have people nearby who can help.

I'm starting to really hate my HMO. HMOs were started to improve efficiency and thus reduce costs. I see no improvement in efficiency whatsoever. What I do see is endless bureaucracy, long wait times for patients, and other needless hurdles. Unfortunately, it's not just UCLA that is like this. I like my doctor, though. I think he was a bit offended when I called UCLA "medieval," but he had to agree with me about certain shortcomings. I'll be seeing him again next week and I hope he can get me into see a specialist sooner than the one month I was quoted.

And I'm not nearly as grumpy as some seniors.

TOD:

I'll be choosing from
MIRANDA
PERSON OF INTEREST
MAJOR CRIMES (if it arrives)

I'm on a PERSON OF INTEREST kick, rewatching season 1. I really like Det Carter and was really sorry that they killed her off. IMO, they should have kept her and never have gotten into the Root thing.

She wants to sell them, mainly just to get rid of them, but I said, "Why don't you donate them to the library?"

So, I searched the library's catalog and pulled all the titles that the library already owns.

It's the only way that they'll take donations...they usually won't add just one DVD.

Out of the maybe three dozen titles, the library only had maybe 10 of them, so that's what they took.

After I drop those off at my niece's, I'm going to tonight's rehearsal for "The Bible: The Complete Word of God (abridged)" that Theater Artists Olympia is presenting, starting next Friday.
