That story would make a good miniseries DR ELMORE.

I am sure as soon as DR CILLA LIZ reads about our availability, she will contact us with a start date.

I think robes are probably provided.

Unfortunately, last Friday was the cut off for applications...... otherwise, it would be yours to share

We got about 15 donated to the theatre, but they're all white.....so those probably won't do.

We'd look like choir refugees, not important justices.

I love it!

In the "it's about freakin' time" department, I just got a notice that my order for the Encores! cast recording of Paint Your Wagon has FINALLY shipped!  It's supposed to get here by Friday. :D

I still cannot tell a CD from a CD-R!  But i realized I do not give a damn.

I am home from MTI with The Most Happy Fella orchestra score and some printed scores for Guys & Dolls.

When I got home, the good news was waiting for me: Moonshine and Mistletoe will get a reading at the York Theatre on August 1!  Per AEA rulings, we are allowed 29 hours of rehearsal the week before.  all we need now is a cast!

And an audience!  We'll be there - if we're allowed and depending on what Richard learns from the ophthalmologist next week...

I hope we can get a good cast together. Much to accomplish before July 25.

We have a 4-hour meeting on July 5 to finalize the score and talk about things like cast.  i have to write some dance music by then.

My, such a lot of miles by DRs!

Safe travels to the Vixfam and to DR Ginny and DH Richard.

And any other DRs taking to the streets.

Today was Beverly Hills Day for me. I drove my neighbor, whose name is Zen, to a spine specialist for a procedure. They would not allow him to take a taxi home. For those of you not familiar with Beverly Hills, it is as ungrid-like as it can be. I checked Google Maps and both Zen and I thought Roxbury Drive would work, but then I discovered there is no left turn onto Wilshire Blvd. The sort of thing that online maps generally don't tell you. We encountered a couple more of those, but we got there in good time. BK, of course, knows LA intimately, and would have known these things.

Well, I need to go now.  Tonight is Theater Artists Olympia's monthly board meeting (two weeks later than usual, though), and I need to print out the information for my monthly budget report.  After that, I'll drive up the hill from downtown Olympia to my friend Margo's house and give her a DVD that I burned of the last three episodes of "Game of Thrones."  We'll certainly visit for a while before I leave, and then I'll go home.

Be back later.

Once they took Zen I walked down the street for a bite of lunch. Not Mr Chow's. I took my time, returned and read a magazine (sooo last century!) until Zen was out of recovery. Traffic wasn't light, but it wasn't horrible, either.

I'm really glad this is over. Zen's been trying to have it done for a couple months now and each time some problem has arisen. I hope it reduces his pain. I try many, many things myself; some help, some don't. But you have to try.

I'm not going anywhere this weekend.  Usually I go to the lake for at least part of the weekend, but it's just so crazy up there that I decided to go a week or so later.

Now I hear DearGN (grand nephew) Gabe will be at his grandparent's for a week starting the 10th.  So I will definitely be taking a trip up there while he's here.  I really miss seeing him

DR Cillaliz the details of sitting on the commission are interesting and far less stressful than when you competed for the position of a judge.

So true. I do understand why the people I know who have applied seem to be keeping their distance.  I did the same thing.  Didn't realize how obvious it is, lol

Good vibes for Zen that his pain is greatly reduced.

Long, uninteresting day. With way too much drama in it.

Except I got the official confirmation of the promotion, which takes place July 10, except it's still not public yet.
