They came to install the cable and Internet connection yesterday and managed to take out the incoming calls. So anyone trying to reach Mom on her birthday got no answer.

Oh, no.

DR ChasSmith, you are on my list for the reading.  DR Ginny, I am sorry that Richard's vision has canceled your trip.

I have a memory that he had a problem with Bell's Palsy in either high school or college.

I would love to be there but the financial larder is empty now. I can't buy a ticket with fig jam, it seems.

TOD in reverse. I heard our symphony do a pops concert of ABBA music. I couldn't get out of the concert hall fast enough.

DR Elmore, it is good to see you, my friend.

I wish you could come in for this August 1 event, but I regard it less as a show and more a test. It's a reading: they will sit in chairs, read the script and sing through the score. It could be good, it could be disastrous, but we will learn things from it and hopefully the audience will enjoy it and have positive criticism.

When we get - if ever! - a real production, then I would love for you to be there.

Thursday is opening night for ON GOLDEN POND.  The sooner we open, the sooner we get this show OVER!!!

It will be okay.  AND tickets are selling like hotcakes (not Lisa Douglas' hotcakes)....and we didn't spend a LOT of money....so it should be good for the bottom line.

I shall have to think about the TOD:

Not a group....but I liked the orchestra on Little Peggy March's song "I Will Follow Him"...the producers Hugo & Luigi on RCA Victor used a lot of orchestra arrangements on their singles.....

I love readings.  All caveats accepted and understood.  I just don't get the chance to get to many.  Especially looking forward to this one, DR Elmore.

Indiana Governor Mike Pence is being touted by many as the VP pick for old Orange Face......who will make his announcement tomorrow at 11 a.m.

If MP is going to run for re-election as Governor, he has to file all of his papers by Noon tomorrow.....so it seems all very faux dramatic.....

Big Crybaby Quitter and Empty Tin Can Evan Bayh is now in the race for Senator.....he quit several years ago after his second senate term.  His FIRST vote as a Senator was to NOT impeach old Hot Pants Clinton back in the day.....he is an idiot....he now has all the business, lobby, and special interests he needs to end up a very rich man after a few more senate terms.  Too bad he will probably be elected....

Elmore, thank you for giving the igmo on Facebook an intelligent response to his not liking the lyric "beguiled again." It's a gorgeous lyric that really tells a lot about Vera. Of course, some would have all lyrics coming from the minds and mouths of people just as imbecilic as they are.

TOD:
I'm sure there's a lot of old rock songs with big symphony sounds that I love, but of course, I can't think of any right now. The only thing that comes to mind is that I always loved all the violins in "Eleanor Rigby". And, of course, Phil Spector's Christmas album with his wall-of-sound is wonderful, but I'm not sure if that really qualifies.

I've been working on "If I Were A Bell." When I was 5 or 6 and it was on the Hit Parade, I thought it was a stupid song.  Now I think it's a masterpiece.

You are most welcome.  I spend too much time on Facebook marveling at the stupidity of some people posting on those cast recording sites or wondering whatever happened to peoples' sense of humor.  Irony and sarcasm are elusive critters.

Thank you Jrand .

Theven family just went through through this with their beloved daughter in-law, except hers was not found early.  She also needed a double masectomy.  Today she is doing well.

Thank you to DRs Vixmom, TCB, and JRand for the nice comments about niece Amy's move to Springboro.  I'm excited to have 2 more great nephews and our only great niece within hugging distance.  And I imagine their maternal grandmother is beside herself!
