Watching Myrna Loy and Warren Baxter in Broadway Bill, a not-great but entertaining Frank Capra movie.

It felt strange to be back at work today after a week off.

Tomorrow I have a training day at Fred Pryor. I think the class is on dealing with disagreeable coworkers.

Since we can't discuss politics, I have little more to say.

Except that people can't talk to one another any more. I can't talk to my cousin because her views aren't based on facts. If you point out that her information is incorrect, she doesn't care. Her views are all based on her emotions (read prejudices). I like my cousin. I've always had to avoid politics with her, but I truly question whether we can get through the next few months without it coming up. The discussion of politics is like a giant landmine. How do you sidestep something so big? I fear that many friendships will be damaged.

Exactly.

I debated all evening and just sent Randy an email about today's phone call and wondering if he had heard from the Macbeths.

And (if I didn't say it before), I spent five and a half hours in and out of the dentist's chair today, and am exhausted from it.

And considerably poorer for it.

BUT...rather blissed out following a wonderful get-together at a neighbor's house this evening, a perfect summer evening's dally on the verandah.

If there was some way to block the words "Trump," "Hillary," and "Clinton" on Facebook, I'd sure like to know how.

A BIG "LIKE" FOR THIS!

Today on my hike, a coyote howled. Immediately all the others in the area answered. I rarely see coyotes there, but, holy cow, there were LOTS of them around. They weren't very far away, either. And I couldn't see a single one.

What I know about Texas toast can be writ on the head of a pin, but the kind I buy here is basically, like someone else said, a double-thick sliced bread.  What I've bought it for is making french toast.  And baby, I make a nice french toast.

Sorry to hear of your dental woes, ChasSmith. I hope there's not another dental visit in your near future.

We made it to 80 a few times this spring, but this was the first time in the summer months.
