Congratulations, Elmore. So, when's a new production happening? It sounds perfect for Glimmerglass.
Vibes for DRs Ron and Laura.
I have signed off on the vocal score for Gentlemen, Be Seated! It is finished!
Yesterday at the supermarket, on a whim, I picked up a couple of breakfast burritos. You should never go food shopping when you're hungry, right? And they'll probably be awful. But what's done is done, and I'll be having one soon with a sorely needed second cup of coffee.
I wonder if Teller speaks during his meetups I have never seen him speak
Tonight we Open!!! So we shall see what an audience consisting of regular people and NOT friends and family thinks of us.....We're less than three hours now....but it's touch and go for sure....
Good Morning. Last night, for the first time in two weeks, I was able to sleep fully reclined (only on my left side, however). I am ever so very much more refreshed as a result.
Just signed a contract for a new book with BearManor Media. The tentative titles is HOLLYWOOD SNAPSHOTS: The Forgotten Interviews. It will contain the interviews that I did for my "Yesterday at the Movies" monthly column for Coronet magazine, plus all the interview notes from columns and my 1970s film books and my early stage plays in THE HOLLYWOOD LEGENDS collection. Most of these notes did not wind up in the books or plays because they didn't fit the narrative, nor wa it in my two memoirs. There's some fascinating stuff her.Among the people I interviewed: Claire Trevor, Jack Oakie, Mary Pickford, John Carradine, Paul Henreid, several of The Little Rascals, Howard Hawks, Ida Lupino, George Abbott, Mervyn LeRoy, etc.No idea when this will be coming out.
On the news is a sad story of a major fire/explosion in Maryland. It took me too long to find the name of the building & confirm it was not Craig's.
Good advice DR RLP.Thanks to all for the Opening Night Vibes....I shall be on my way to the theatre.Pray for Roismary's Bany.
