Today is the 43rd anniversary of my move to Middletown, Ohio, for my first professional library job.  Here's the library and my first car, the tan AMC Hornet:

Great photo, Ginny.

I guess I should have some sort of snack.  I'm so tired of going to Jerry's and having stuff like matzo brei and a bagel and a drink and with tip spending twenty-five bucks.  Sickening.  I'm at the point where I'm going to start gaming their system - there are certain things under ten, and there is a senior menu where all items are under ten, so I think I'll just do that for a while.  And the same applies to Gelson's - I go there to get a snack and don't seem to be able to get out of there for under twenty dollars.  Well, spending close to fifty a day on food when I'm not supping with people or going to a nice jernt, it's just stupid.

Went dancing tonight. It was a very basic class, even though it was advertised as a beginner and an intermediate class. There were no intermediates there.

I'm still not getting the knack of working from here. Or maybe I'm getting it all to well. It's an hour early, and all the work comes in after I've logged off for the day. I got 8 emails after I logged off. Nothing I want to touch until the morning.

Speaking of today's theme, School Daze was Spike Lee's first musical. Rather fun in a very politically incorrect way. I will have to watch that when I get home.

You mean you haven't been taking advantage of senior discounts??  I have several friends who LOVE to get the discounts...and are glad that they're old enough to be able to. ;) At Denny's, you only have to be 55 years old to enjoy their special menu.

I get them now sometimes even though I have more than a year to go. I look as old to those young upstarts as they look young to me. :)

And now, I must be leaving.  I've been at work for too long and I need to get something to eat.  I have foodstuffs at home, but I don't want it tonight.  Some other time, perhaps. :)

Until later.

Speaking of TCB, what a nice photo you posted the other day. Your scooter is smaller than I imagined.

Thanks!  That is one of its assets.
