And now it is official!!  JRAND66 is in the house.

Thanks DR JOHNG - that is a photo from LITTLE WOMEN in which I am impersonating Mr. Lawrence....a couple of days ago, the director's wife told me that he wished he hadn't cut the "Off to Massachusetts" reprise in the second act, he didn't realize the audience would like it so much.....

Beth and I could have sung it again, I'm sure.

There isn't a big jackpot, but I will take any amount.

  • Have a REALLY nice day!

TOD:

A couple of Disney movies for me, too:  Moon Pilot, and I'll crib off of DR Elmore's sheet for Babes in Toyland.

Where's Poppa? and Little Murders affected me this way when I last saw them because the things in them that I thought were ABSOLUTELY FRICKIN' HILARIOUS back in the day seemed to land like rocks.  But these films have a following and those re-watchings were some years back, very likely via VHS, so I'd honestly expect them to come back up in my estimation under the proper circumstances.  But like BK's experience with Modesty Blaise (which I never saw), you never know.

There are others, but they don't come to mind.  No doubt, a few are horror flicks that just don't cut the mustard.  But big stuff, too, and here's one:  Around the World in Eighty Days.  I've tried to get through it a couple of times over the past couple of decades, but no go.

I too loved "where's pa0a.

I tried to post and this is all I could manage before crashing.

I'm home and posting from my new computer on my big screen TV.  I'm still checking it out to make sure that everything works.  So far, so good. :)

Yup...for now.  So, I can't watch TV at the same time, but I won't be on here for too long.  I'll turn off the computer and get on my tablet, then I can watch my TV shows.

I haven't tried to play a DVD, yet.  Let me see if that'll work.

It has Word, Publisher and Excel in the taskbar at the bottom, but they're not paid for, so I can't use those, or any of the Microsoft Office Suite that's pre-installed.  I haven't paid either the one-time payment, or the annual subscription.

I don't know if I want the annual subscription license, but then it would automatically be updated to the latest editions.

But do I need the latest and greatest at all times??  I don't think so.

Well, I'll be back in a moment.  It's time to switch to my tablet...and "go down the hall" as my sister says (even though it's downstairs for me ;) ).

  • What is it, fish?

Finally back from a long but interesting and somewhat productive post mortem dinner, which was held at some trendy Eyetalian jernt in the Oaks of Sherman.  I had a small Caesar salad (very good) and then some fettuccini with a meat sauce, also very good.

They do, but I'm going to wait until I upgrade to Windows 10 before I sign up for the trial.
