There were dreams about overdue payments and statements.  They all made me want to stay in bed and not leave it.  Ever.

Last night I had an emergency fix on "Adelaide's Lament."  I hope it worked.

I have no plans today whatsoever.  I'll continue with G&D.

One or more crazy dreams concerning musical preparation in absurd forms, thank you notes, cat litter bungling, and another whole segment that refuses to come into focus at all.  Probably best it doesn't.

Have to run out to a couple of stores sometime this afternoon, but it's mostly a Me day to be enjoyed at home.

Thanks! It was so true, and I have given that advice often to others since then.

After church. Vixdad my mom and I are going to my brother and SIL house to hear about the  cruise/tour they just took of Italy and Greece  so I won't be back until tonight

Italy will not be one of our stops but Greece was great.  We had a very nice day in Dubrovnik.   Tomorrow Split, Croatia.

Sunday afternoon greetings!  I was up at 7, showered, dressed, hair & make-up, but did not leave for church with Richard due to some stomach upset that came out of nowhere.  Dozed in my chair until Richard got home, had a light lunch, and am trying to re-enter the human race.

So, yesterday Richard and I arrived at the movie theatre about 10 minutes before the 1:50 showing of Florence Foster Jenkins and were told that the only "availability" was in the first 2 rows.  Availability?  This was the first we knew of reserved seats at this facility and we did not want to sit that close.  So, we bought tickets for the 4:35 show and had a couple of hours to kill.  First stop: Half Price Books.  Second stop: Sitting in the car in the parking lot waiting out a severe thunderstorm with torrential rain.  Third stop: Graeter's (yum!).

When we got into the theatre we discovered that they've installed recliner seats and reduced the capacity to about 60, which explains the sell-out earlier and the fact that we were in the last row in Row E.  I enjoyed the movie more than Richard did.

I've edited "More I Cannot Wish you," and I am finished with G&D for the day. Tomorrow I will tackle the first part of "The Crapshooter's Ballet."

I adored the late great Mathilde Pincus, doyenne of music copyists and earth mother to composers and orchestrators  Sondheim, Kander, Tunick, and more.  What I'm learning from Guys & Dolls is that she played viola, copied well, established valuable rules, and she never once checked her copy to see if the notes she took from the score were harmonically correct.

VERY JEALOUS of stops one and three!     :)

(Not that I haven't enjoyed a few thunderstorms in the car, too.)

When the rain let up, my car looked like it had been through the car wash!

I love this stuff, and look forward to reading DR Elmore's future books on Mathilde Pincus and Trude Rittman and probably many other such unsung heroes.
