Sunday morning greetings!  Richard had a night of fitful sleep and elected to stay home from church today, so I did, too.  We saw Rob and Mary Linda off to their church, after which they will go to their 5th anniversary lunch with their matron of honor and her husband.  Where did THAT half a decade go?

After yesterday's decisive Michigan victory over Hawaii, we went to the local Miami University campus for yet another 50th anniversary reception.  The current dean introduced me to her husband as the first librarian there and I made it clear that when the campus opened I was still in high school.  Yes, I'm from the early days of the campus, but not the very beginning.

DR Elmore, I'm waiting to hear from Andrea, who's in town for her 50th class reunion.  She brought some theatre memorabilia for us to look at it together and decide what you may want.  Prepare for your ears to burn sometime today or tomorrow and for some emails from me!

I gave Sugar a bath on Friday after I got home from work , so the fur is still flying everywhere around the house.  I must vacuum today  or else be swallowed by black and white fur.

I just finished the Crapshooters Ballet.  There was one whole section where Tenor Sax 2 was copied into the Baritone sax part as well.

Haven't heard from her yet.  She must be recovering from last night's Class of '66 party!

I'm up, I'm up - about ten hours of sleep and the alarm did not go off, which is disturbing. Have to figure that out.  So, I slept about ten minutes later than the alarm.  I'm stuffed up and congested but that should go away at some point.

I hope our alarm goes off bright and early tomorrow or we might be our 7:30 tour.  This will be our last stop on the cruise until we return to Athens.  We were originally ending in Istanbul.   We will be in Turkey tomorrow before returning to Greece.

Right now the weather could simply not be more beautiful -- 77 degrees, low-to-nonexistent humidity, breezy...

Well there was a rant....so the meeting took longer than expected.....of course this time the rant came from ME - so it was completely justified.

I've spent the afternoon finishng Season 1 of This Life and after dinner i'll begin Season 2.  I suspect this never made American TV in the 90s because of the sex, nudity and language, but it's really a brilliant series,  I am also surprised it has never been available as a BBC Region 1 DVD.

Well, last night's TAO fund raising movie night was VERY successful!  "Young Frankenstein," in memory of Gene Wilder, was the chosen movie, and a good time was had by all.  For foodstuffs, we had the Costco dogs that I brought, hamburgers, ribs, baked beans, cupcakes, various kinds of chips, and a few other things.  Everyone enjoyed the food, the company, and the movie.  The best part was that we took in over three-quarters of a full month's rent!  Hoo and Ray!!

Congratulations.

Thanks, Jane!

The clip from the King of Burlesque in the notes [which seems to be from a show in Indianapolis] reminds me that my question is:

Why is it that the people most willing to take off their clothes in front of everybody are people that you don't necessarily want to see with their clothes off?

There is a group of strippers here in Olympia called Tush Burlesque who are very popular.  They very much don't hold to a single body-type standard. ;)

Well, I must be going now.  I've got to et me something to eat, then I'm meeting my friend David and his wife at the Olympia Film Society's showing of Microbe and Gasoline.  It looks like a fun movie.

Be back later.
